You can call it Del Piero or whatever you want. Either you argue tactically on what formation we should play and what would suit us best and why without giving me IFs or just soap it and expect anyone to be as douche as you are.

I gave my reasons on why it wouldn't harm playing with two upfront and you reply back saying "What if Del Piero gets injured again"....

But I'll get to your standard and argue on the same level, probably this way you'll be capable to argue...

What if Tiago is wearing a thong, shall we play with a trident upfront? 4-3-1-2 will NOT work, because CAMORANESI is one awful player, he can play ONLY when we play 4-2-3-1.

You say it's about Del Piero, I say it's about your brain.
Oh yeah, I know how you see who has got more brain in this forum?.. If the person agree's with you, he's got brain.. If not, he has No brain!.. :agree:

Del Piero should also be the coach.. THAT would make you come!

only with del pie instead of giovinco
Yeah! That was my first choice too. Diego, Alex and Giovinco can be rotated on the center and left side.

I'm with you on that one aswell, since I don't quite see the issue with playing a 4-2-3-1 with DP. He can easily just play a bit further forward if he likes, so he's in between being a second striker and an attacking mid. Why don't we just try this first to see if it works? We've got DP back and use our goal-machine-formation.

Like Red said aswell, otherwise you just make Camo drop back a bit more and there you go.. it's a 4-3-1-2.

The issue isn't as big as it may seem I think.
Indeed. Even if he plays in 4-3-1-2 on field Alex will play deeper, and will look like 4-3-2-1 and if Camo is in that formation and if he went a little forward will look 4-2-2-2 or 4-2-3-1..

Alex is different than Amauri and Trezeguet, he will fit in these system very good, that's because he is more versatile than Amauri, Trezeguet or Iaquinta..

With Amauri and Trezeguet up front, the formation always stays the same, because these two can't help the midfield like Alex does.

Certainly true, and I would give the lop-sided 4-2-2-2 a chance once Alex comes back. With Sissoko back in midfield we can afford to allow DP more freedom on the left up top, which is where he likes to hover anyway.

That's not exactly how we played that season though. DP wasn't used as an attacking midfielder, but rather his usual support forward role left of Trezeguet.

When Alex has been used as a attacking midfielder instead of just being given a free role up top, he hasn't excelled.
That's the same thing actually, the formation you mentioned is almost the same on field, looks different on paper..

Ale will play it free role too and mostly he will go front, which will turn to something like 4-2-2-2. Alex always plays free role, he is not like Trezeguet or any other striker, you see him coming back to midfield all the time.
