I can't accept that they still go back to the 4-3-1-2. How many chances does that formation get? We played good football with the 4-2-3-1 but they changed it back to the 4-3-1-2 anyway, we started winning with the 3-4-1-2 but they still change it back to the 4-3-1-2. I don't know who's behind this but somebody really, really wants this loser formation to work out.

Who would you use on the left in 4-2-3-1 with the players called up?

We've been using the 4-3-1-2 for the last 3 games.
As far as I know we've been using the 3-4-1-2 except for the last game.
It's sort of been in between the two.

Grygera has been playing almost as a third CB and the right midfielder has also played quite defensively. On the other side, De Ceglie has played as much as a wingback as he has an orthodox fullback.

I don't think so. Back 4 of Grygera, Legro, Chiellini, DC.

Edit: Now seeing Red's post. DC has pushed up when the team was in attack, but that's what most full backs do anyway. When defending, he has defended (use the term loosely for DC) the left wing and Grygera, the right wing.
