this means you can not say that there are players that are better than DP at the moment, because we even did not see him playing..
and trez should have scored at least 4 goals in that game..

Buffon backs Del Piero



ItalyJuventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has publicly defended his club captain and international colleague Alessandro Del Piero.

The Italy striker left the Azzurri's training headquarters with suspicion hanging over the 30-year-old's head that he used a muscle strain as a pretense to walk out of Marcello Lippi's side to face Belarus.

Despite Juve's medical staff confirming the legitimacy of the injury, Buffon has been moved to defend Del Piero's character.

"He's had other setbacks in his career but has always come back a special player," Buffon told La Stampa.

"I have read unpleasant things about his return from the national team.

"You can say many things about Del Piero but you can't attack his professionalism."

Del Piero will now be forced to sit out Sunday's Serie A match with Empoli and may also miss the UEFA Champions League tie with Club Brugge.

this is the point I am trying to clear with jeeks.. I just can not understand why some Juve "fans" are hatting DP.. he is a legend.. nobody in Milan will be disscusing so much about Maldini, even if he surly not the best anymore.. and we are discussing about our captain.. this is really sad.

DP is surly not the same after his injuiry 1998, but he is still good. he was our best scorer last year and had scored so many important goals..

you said the better players should play... and I want to tell you that you can not say that the others are better than DP, because we did not seen him this season yet and he must get a chance..
I do not mean that you hate DP but I mean that generally in this forum.. and your posts were surly not pro DP.

why?? he is a striker like the others..If a team wants to be succesful in a long season, than they need many players.. I don´t think that it is the right way to let DP and Mutu only play in coppa italia..

You are so sensitive that you think that things are pro DP and against him. There is objectivity, something you surely lack, and this is what decides.

There is training and there is a coach.

There is a previous season and there was pre season games and all these decided that there are two players better than DP and they are getting the nod.
