After the first half of this season the three biggest italian newspapers have
After every game the italian papers have rated the players on a scale of 1-10 and now after the first half of this season the following players have had the best average.

------------------Buffon------------------------

----Thuram--Stam---Maldini----Cesar---

--Stankovic----Maresca-----Emre---

----------------------Totti-----------------

---------Lopez------------Di Natale----------

Two Juventus players, no three actually. That's really good.
It seems kind of fair but I don't know about Emre and Di Natale. Di Natale has scored many goals but has he played better than Del Piero?

Some statistics:

Most shots on goal: Mutu, 23

Most offsides: Is it necessary to write his name? , 27

Most crosses: Corini, 77

Most saves: Ballotta, 60

Most red cards: Filippini, 2

Most yellow cards: Manfredini, 7

Well it looks ok... but like you, I don't see why Emre and Di Natale is on the team. Nedved and Del Piero has been playing better than both... Well maybe Emre is allright... arhh I don't know. But Del Piero should be in the team instead of Di Natale.

No need! I think we all know who that is! ;)

look at maresca  why is he not at juve?
He'll be back next season... don't worry. I think that playing for Piacenza is good for him... he's really doing great!

If you're going to be sarcastic on Inzaghi, then please also mention he has already scored 17 goals this season...
8 of which in the Serie A and none of those eight goals were penalty kicks. That makes him the only one in the top 5 of topscorers who can say that!

IMHO Emre doesn't deserve to be in the line-up posted above, but Di Natale certainly does. He is having a wonderful season, with many goals and an atractive way of playing

Nice midfield Nick!:thumb: I personally think most of the players on the team deserve it. Buffon has been superb as usual, and this season has seen the return to form of Thuram,Stam and Maldini, but please, can someone tell me who this Cesar is? If it's who I'm thinking (the Brazilian Cesar from Lazio) then something is wrong, because he isn't a left back.

Stankovic has been consistently excellent and Maresca has been influential for his club. Emre however has only shown us his true skill on a few occasions, and Totti has been injured for alot of the season so it's a bit unfair to say that he has been consistent, but his goalscoring makes up for that. Lopez has been stunning thus far and in my opinion deserves his place in the team, while Di Natale has been quite impressive, but top scorer Vieri and our Ale would give him a good run for his money in my team.

Great team! But I wouldn't put Kalaze on the left-back position!
Coco, Zauri, Birindelli, Pessotto..............are much better!

It would be nice if he could just once score from outside the area..you know, to show he has some kind of talent
