Could have been ignored? How? He practically knocks him out...
The goalie didn't deny a clear opportunity. It was a tough decision because both players collided in the air and the goalkeeper was off balance. the reefer could check the VAR. Maybe if the VAR had been checked, the referee would have reconsidered the decision.

The opportunity doesn't mean anything. You can't go punching someone in the face because he already headed the ball... This is as clear as a daisy. It's like tackling when the ball isn't goalbound, a penalty anyhow. Foul in the box = pen.

On the other side it could've been one as well. Very slight touch with the hand but it helps Gatti so if he was called that could've been a pen for Como. We were lucky VAR decided it wasn't a clear error imo.

Var did check that. Also, a foul in the penalty area doesn't have to deny a clear opportunity for the referee to point to the spot.

I feel like that should have been a handball and pen for Como.

But that foul on Gatti is 100% a penalty too.
Honestly I would wave both to play on.
Gatti definitely got fouled but it was after the ball was way out of reach therefore it was more of an accident after play rather than a foul.
On the other hand Gatti touched the ball with his fingers but it was very soft and didnt really move the ball therefore not really affecting the play.
Both are non penalties to me.

BUT there is something else that was just ridiculous - The ref completely ignored clear fouls made on Kolo Muani (It wasnt a penalty opportunity but the ref missed some obvious calls)

- - - Updated - - -

Juve didn't deserve the win, Como was dominated the game and that penalty could have ignored, wasn't penalty, tbh.
I see Im the only one to agree with you on this one (although Im not entirely sure about the rules in such an event)
First half Como created and Juve just defended - Kolo Muani strike was a pure individual effort that came out of nothing.
Second half we continued to play horrible until we made the subs that we should have made way before.
Thuram in 5 minutes did more than Locatelli and Koop did together for 60 minutes...
Conceicao Mangbula made us way more dangerous compared to Yildiz N.G

Even if I'm slowly getting fed up with our play I can't judge a coach who has to deal with such a defense.
Up until we had Bremer our performance seemed much better. Obviously it wasn't perfect but still clearly better.
Someone might say our attacking play is also terrible but the lack of confidence in your backline affects they way you move forward.
Therefore I'll wait till we integrate Veiga and Kelly who ain't no world beaters either but still they give some depth and strength to our defending.
