Clean sheet.

3 points.

No injuries.

Next.

(Need to keep grinding out these wins, keep pressure on Napoli. Who cares how we win. In fact, I hope we win with the ugliest football possible)
Why would u want that considering there is a very clear alternative: win with good football?

We invested 200-250 million in attack the past seasons just to play with 8 man behind the ball..

To see Napoli complain...pretty much only reason.

And sold in midfield for how much? Nevermind the other top players from the atack that left like Tevez, Morata or Coman...

Tbh it's not as easy as some may think...

Juventus eventually earned a 2-0 victory after Chievo went down to nine men for two utterly bizarre red cards for Samuel Bastien and Fabrizio Cacciatore.

The Flying Donkeys practically committed suicide at the Stadio Bentegodi with two entirely avoidable incidents.

Stefano Sorrentino didn’t particularly have a save to make on the night, but Bastien had been booked only 120 seconds earlier when blatantly hauling back Kwadwo Asamoah by the collar for his second yellow card.

In the second half, Chievo held on admirably until Cacciatore took his dissent too far by doing the ‘handcuffs’ gesture made famous by Jose Mourinho at Inter and was shown a straight red.

Eventually, Sami Khedira drilled in a Federico Bernardeschi cutback and Gonzalo Higuain broke his goal drought with a late header.

    FI
bizarre red card really ! the first one was bizarre do this people watch the game lol

the worst part of this shitty reporting that they say it gifted and bizarre then they explain it lmao

FI is usually retarded, but I think in this case they are saying the actions of the Chievo players were bizarre not the referee decisions. And I'd agree. Bizarre shit must have been going on in the heads of those two players to pull the shit they did to get sent off.

Sami scores whenever opposition teams go down a man. Hattrick vs Udinese and decisive today vs Chievo :D

We really need an "x factor" kind of player in the middle. Pjanic can't do it all.

Missed the game - I was extremely high so wasnt able to stay up..
I heard we played like crap and those red cards gifted us the win
The only thing I do not understand is why those red cards are bizzare as FI says its bizzare and then in the news itself it says things that every normal referee would give a card for them (holding back a player)+(handcuffs Mourinho)
Do you have a video link of these 2 red cards?

P.S - I see D.Costa is being regularly voted as our motm

BTW If Napoli concede 2 goals vs Bologna we are changing our status as the best attack in Serie A (2 rounds ago IIRC) to the best defense in Serie A (which we all know is a title that suits us better)

I just dont understand allegri..even with 3 in midfield he plays mandzukic with higuain. Surely when have 3 in midfield against chievo you can play two creative players in that final third.

    Over this boring shit football.

I've always wondered if there is a requirement that you have to be at least 6 feet 5 to play for Chievo?

A game without crucial starters as Chiellini, Alex Sandro , Matuidi , Dybala and Cuadrado, a game won with a clean sheet, nothing spectacular tbh but 3 points are 3 points and i believe that's all that matters atm.

Nonetheless, i am confident we will eventually improve our game when the stakes are higher.

233 passes to 762 passes lol

Gotta do better with our possession. Need more ideas in the box. Great for DC working not he left especially on the cross. We still seem to lack that creative edge INSIDE the box though. It took an underperforming CM to break the deadlock against 9 men. Thats a problem in my opinion, no?

We had only 1 through ball. That's terrible. But what can we expect when the choo-choo train (Higuain) takes forever to leave the station. A faster ST will really work wonders for us. Not only can they get to the through balls but it pulls defenders away from the center. Only need one guy to mark the current Higuain...a faster ST will likely change that dynamic for opposition defenses. We have pace on the wings but asking too much to break into space only to have to hold the ball up waiting for Higuain to figure out where he is supposed to go.

For a team as solid in the defense as we are now, we really should be taking more risks going forward IMO but we can't be that counter attacking team because of Higuain's isolation.

Horrible performance last night. The lack of tempo and creativity is obvious. Allegri off the pitch - and Pjanic and Miss Piggy on the pitch - needs to step up if we are to compete in Champions League. Even Liverpools defense could shut us down currently.

This continued play doesn't excite me one bit in getting closer to CL action. I don't know why Max seems so scared of INFERIOR serie teams scoring on Juve. Seems that way with the lineups he keeps starting out there.

I mean with the offensive options available why not a 4-3-3 more often or at least attempted? Maybe lacking necessary height to be successful but when healthy would like to see these players used .....

    Costa - Higgy/Mario - Dybala
    Matuidi - Pjanic - Cuads/Berna

Glad 1st match is against Spurs at home to hopefully eek out a win and give Max more time by March to have team clicking together offensively as an unit that was expected with the players acquired in the summer.
