Remember the 3 goals conceded by Chimenti in our onlu loss ,against Milan, this season...Pirlo scored from the free kick from almost 35 m....Chimen is worse than a local girl scout, although the local girl scout troop sounds funny.:)

I really don't understand why is Capello forcing him...Chiellini and Zambro as RB is one solution and the other one Balzaretti,or even Pessotto....why the hell is he using Zebina????

He is trying a hopless attempt to raise his price before he gets the boot...:eyebrows:

My message to you is clear mr. Capello.

You win us this game or I swear; you'll live to regret it.

Remember: When they come at you they come at whom you love.

You know who I'm talkin about..

Cagliari - Juventus

Stadio Sant'Elia

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus make the long trip down to Sardinia as they face a Saturday clash against Cagliari. Having seemingly wrapped up the Scudetto weeks ago, the Bianconeri are going through an end of season stutter which has seen them draw their last three games and be eliminated from the Champions League. Now only seven points separate them from second-placed Milan, and suddenly there is potentially a title race once more.

The Rossoblu, having previously embarked on a fine run of form to drag themselves out of the relegation mire, now have Messina breathing down their necks after failing to win in four. The gap between the two island outfits is now just two points and Cagliari’s reliance on David Suazo is proving a bit of a hindrance. Nonetheless, they managed to achieve a creditable 1-1 draw with the Old Lady in last season’s fixture at the Stadio Sant’Elia and a similar result this time out would be welcomed with open arms.

Juve Coach Fabio Capello has a few worries when it comes to team selection, as he is still expected to be without top scorer David Trezeguet. Alex Del Piero – the side’s goal hero in the 1-1 draw with Fiorentina last weekend – will deputise. Trezeguet’s fellow French international Lilian Thuram will also be absent through suspension, but the tactician is expected to have Gigi Buffon back in contention between the sticks after he missed the Viola clash with an ankle injury.

Following David Di Michele’s last gasp goal to give Palermo a share of the spoils in the Derby delle Isole in Week 33, Cagliari Coach Nedo Sonetti has only one major selection headache to contend with. 'Keeper Antonio Chimenti, a January signing from Juve, sustained a thigh injury against the Rosanero and is unlikely to be back in time so Andrea Campagnolo will take the gloves, while Antonio Langella is also likely to be recalled after a ban. Campagnolo was in goal the last time these sides met, with Juventus netting a crushing 4-0 win in Week 15.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cagliari: Campagnolo; Ferri, Bega, Canini, Pisano; Esposito, Conti, Abeijon; Gobbi, Suazo, Langella

Juventus: Buffon; Zebina, Cannavaro, Kovac, Zambrotta; Camoranesi, Emerson, Vieira, Nedved; Del Piero, Ibrahimovic

Sonetti challenges Juve Saturday 15 April, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cagliari Coach Nedo Sonetti thinks the Sardinians can take advantage of Juventus’ recent slump to push themselves towards safety.

“We are taking on a great squad full of champions and must be modest, but at the same time aware of our own potential and strengths,” explained the tactician.

“Obviously there is respect for one of the biggest clubs in the world and we mustn’t be arrogant when we play against them. Let’s not forget they have stars of the calibre of Alessandro Del Piero, who can make something out of nothing.”

There is a former Juve player in the Cagliari squad, but goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti may not be able to face his old teammates due to a muscular problem.

“Chimenti has been in training, but we’ll only make the decision after a fitness test before kick-off. Nobody in this side has the privilege of knowing their spot is safe, so everyone has to remain alert. My tactics will depend on whether I pick Antonio Langella or Massimo Gobbi.”

Cagliari have recently been adopting either a 4-4-2 with Mauro Esposito moved back into a wide midfield role, or the classic 4-3-3 that served them so well last season. It’s crunch time for the Stadio Sant’Elia outfit, who are just two points clear of the relegation zone.

“These players are earning their place in Serie A, but we now face a sort of mini-Championship of five games in which the task is to get more points than the other sides threatened with relegation. The fact we conceded such a late equaliser against Palermo last week has only fired us up even more and we want to take that out on Juve.”

David Suazo has hit the headlines this season with 17 Serie A goals – half Cagliari’s total output – and is reportedly an £8m transfer target for Manchester United and Juventus.

“Suazo still needs that little step up in quality and then, as I have already told him, he can play for any team in the world.”

But I hope that it will be the best for us!

Imagine how the situation is changing so fast, before 2 weeks we were focusing on our game against Arsenal and feared of their fast midfield, and today we are fearing of fvckin Cagliari...
