We won this fixture 2-1 last season with a starting eleven that featured Knezevic, Molinaro, Tiaga, and Marchionni. :scared:

Juventus: Manninger; Mellberg, Knezevic, Chiellini, Molinaro; Marchionni, Tiago (Camoranesi 84), Sissoko (Ekdal 60), Nedved; Iaquinta, Amauri (Giovinco 70)

Pavel scored both goals by the way.

In the last match it imo was more like

Diego-Del Piero
----Amauri

not like

-----Diego
Amauri-Del Piero

and as long as Alex is in good form he might do well in such formations, where he has to run more. but i highly doubt he can be successful in 4231, except for the middle Diego position maybe, DP definitely ain't no winger.

maybe DP can take Diegos position and Diego on the right. I dooubt Diego will do good in that position but theres no harm in trying

I sure liked the understanding between the three of Diego, DP and Amauri
I think Zac plays Amauri as an advanced striker waiting for crosses while Diego and DP run freely behind him, I guarantee this will work great with the 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-1-2 of Zac specially if we had good side midfields who have pace and good at crossing, as De Ceglie, Giovinco and young Camo and Sali..
we really need someone on the right then
in this case it wouldn't harm to play two DMCs in the middle as Melo and Sissoko, with Poulsen as sub, I found a solid Juve in that
the 2nd weakness point I noticed beside the right side, is also the right side defensively with Zebina and the central defender whether it's Legro or Canna
Grygera looked good and I think Caceres would do well at it as well, but with the slow central defender we might suffer in counter attacks (was obvious against Ajax and if not for good luck we'd have conceded 3-4 goals)
Melo, Buffon and Chiellini won't always be there covering for Legro and Zebina, we should start looking for a Legro replacement and someone on the right (I pray for Ribery) asap

but in bottomline so far I don't mind the 3 defence system of Zac, it looks much better than I thought, I also like what he did with the team spirit and bringing back Amauri

If he plays Giovinco for more than 10 mins then he'd be too good to be true

I missed out on all Zac's matches. Am just glad that we have been able to squeeze victories after going down twice. That shows some character. Hope we keep winning. We could use some cash for next season. Meanwhile am not too hyped but I can't help but smile when we win.
