I just watched the Coppa game with Atalanta and Inter

I thought that Atalanta played a decent game (albeit a little sloppy), against a tough Inter team which included Veron, Van Der Meyde, and Davids.

They gave Inter a run for their money, but Inter proved they were the better team in the end, beating them 1-0 (Martins)

I am still pissed that a sloppy Atalanta team was able to put so many by us, and knock us out of the competition......
yeah i hate it:(

That right there is my choice. Might as well attack them instead of sitting back with Appiah and Tacchinardi in the squad.
Agreed. There's no need to be tentative against the team at the bottom of the table. We should be beating teams such as Atalanta convincingly, showing authority and class, not grinding out 1-0 scorelines.

well i think they were doing their best in the coppa becuase they have a fair chance of winning the coppa unlike the scudetoo where the players would tkae in more considaration that we have to take keep oursleves up on top

I'm pretty sure Del Piero will play in this much, but I'm 80-90% he he won't start. We have a lot of players injured and the Trezla-due impressed against Brescia.

    Atalanta - Juventus

A David against Goliath affair as the Bergamaschi, bottom-placed in Serie A, host the Italian league leaders. During this season, ‘David’ has already defeated ‘Goliath’ during a Coppa Italia match, but back then the Bianconeri were playing with their second string players. This time round, Capello will make sure to motivate his players in obtaining three precious away points in their Scudetto race.

    Prediction: 2

Juventus boss Fabio Capello is set to field an experimental midfield quartet at Atalanta on Sunday.

The tactician is expected to be without three first team regulars after Emerson missed training on Friday through injury.

Capello is hoping that the South American may train tomorrow but it seems unlikely that the former Roma ace will be risked.

The Bianconeri are already without the injured Pavel Nedved and the suspended Manuele Blasi for the trip to Bergamo.

That leaves Capello with relatively few options even if Mauro Camoranesi will start on the right.

The central midfield pair should consist of Stephen Appiah and, former Atalanta youth team product, Alessio Tacchinardi.

Both Ruben Olivera and Olivier Kapo are in contention to replace Nedved on the left. The Uruguayan is favourite to get the nod.

Capello must also decide whether to select Alessandro Del Piero in attack after he started the last two games on the bench.

Whispers in Turin this afternoon claim that the tactician will again opt for the David Trezeguet and Zlatan Ibrahimovic partnership.

I'm sure that DP will start the game on the bench. Trezlatan is doing well and there is no need to change something in attack - this is Capello's standard approach. Maybe DP will come to the pitch if things go wrong way.
But I hope that Atalanta spent too much energy during their game against Inter.

4-1 for Juventus. Our hungry players will start the game hard, but when the meat wall of Atalanta is broken down, they will shine! (the players out of the starting eleven)

Unfortunately Capello is expected to start Appiah and Tacchinardi in the centre with Olivera on the left.
