There is also a slim chance that boss Fabio Capello could now play with a 4-3-1-2 system, fielding Alex Del Piero behind strikers David Trezeguet and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Why would he do that when we have Olivera? Ruben is a natural playmaker who would fit that role, and he deserves a starting spot for excelling in Emerson's position last match.

Buffon

Zebina - Thuram - Cannavaro - Zambrotta

Camoranesi - Emerson - Blasi

Olivera

Trezeguet - Ibrahimovic

That looks good Andy. Although I would be fine with DP in that role just to get a stop of all the whine.
The whine is here only, I am sure Capello gives a moneky cock about the fans whine......you want it so that the arguments here will be less than they are now....anyway it is up to the boss to decide

This is Olivera's chance to shine, his chance to win himself a starting place more regularly. Ruben will have to step up and show us he is a player, whom we should hang on to!

Go Oli!

No, its Olivera's chance to shine now. He deserves to have a spot on the team and show Capello how good of a player he can be. Ruben has the talent and skill to become a great player at Juventus, and he needs to be given more opportunities to play to build up his confidence and skills.

Agreed, but we'll most likely see a midfield containing camo, blasi, emerson and oliviera on the flank. Still, there is a glimt of hope since Oliviera did so well agaisnt Brescia, but Kapo didn't do anything right. :(

i think its likely capello will field this time
buffon
zebina thuram cannavaro zambrotta
camo emer blasi olivera/kapo (id play oli kapo gives ball away to much)
zlatan trez

i think knowing cap its difficult to see him goin in with 3 strikers. I do think that he shud use this game to give sum players a rest though, i dnt think camo hardly missed a game all season, maybe rest him and play both kapo and oli. I also think that Zlatan nees a rest eventually and this good time to give him it seein as we outta cup. But Capello loves Zlatan i cnt see him missin a game all season unless he injured.

...and anyway it's not like Nedved was setting the world on fire this season. A good rest will maybe bring the best Nedved back to us just in time for the Real match.

Juve has a tendency of fecking things up against the bottom side clubs in recent years so I wouldn't be surprised if we actually do draw. But it won't be the same Juve from the Coppa Italia so I wouldn't worry that much to be honest. A nice 0-1 or 0-2 game.
If he was playing behind the strikers, he'd be much more effective

Even if Nedved isn't at the peak of his form, he's still the kind of player you want on the field, because he can decide a game with a single pass or a shot. I hope he's 110% fit and ready to send Real packing when the CL resumes :fero:

seriously, dp has to be played this game
I would like to see Del Piero play this game as well. Atalanta are the worst team in Serie A, so I believe that Alex should get some playing time in this match, giving either Zlatan or David some rest.
