Just looking at our schedule, we play most of our top 4 rivals away from home

We play Bologna, Viola, Lazio, Fiorentina, Roma all away from home. Atalanta is the only home game coming up.

Meanwhile Milan play Lazio, Viola, Atalanta, Bologna all at home while Roma and Napoli are the tough away games.

Lazio's schedule looks better than ours as well.

I think we have like a 20% chance of making top 4 this season and this is a very realistic assessment tbh.

First PSV of course but then we have Cagliari, Empoli and Hellas in that order... That should be our runaway moment from fifth spot now.
Empoli is a Coppa game, but getting 6 points from Cagliari and Hellas would be sweet. We then face Atalanta at home and with their current form I wouldnt rule out this would be a game for 3rd place

I trust this team more against teams like Lazio, Roma and Atalanta than I do against Cagliari and Verona.

We seem to lift ourselves (mostly) for the bigger matches but struggle for rhythm and motivation against the cellar dwellers. That Cagliari away game has banana peel written all over it.

We do trip up in games that look easier - I've wondered if it's about mentality or that unlocking tight defences requires both individual skill in attack and a plan from the coach. We've been lacking both but things are looking up recently, so maybe we'll be able to top more of the bottoms again before too long.

It’s simple- Mottaball has no answer to Catenaccio.

Take a look at Atalanta's schedule. If we win at home against them, we're crushing their spirit right in the face of an insane run of games.

Same as Jihadball. If its a team thats weak upfront we can be solid defensively by parking the bus and count on Jihadball moments to nick the 3 points. If its a team that knows how to attack then we are kinda screwed and better go guns blazing to force them back.
