Always nice to see Inter losing but they will certainly be back.
Fiorentina - Im still not too worried about them and honestly Im not worried about Lazio either. They are both teams that can get a big win and then lose to a relegation struggle team.
Im more worried about Juve and their ability to maintain consistency. I mean look at Juve - Only 2 points shy of both despite having the worst first half possible (Well 2nd worst since Ferrara lost more than he drew and won together I think). I mean if we replicate this first half - We are definitely screwed.
BUT if we actually play football, it doesnt has to be a Scudetto winner level but just make a few draws and make them a win...

In theory I still see Juve having a great chance getting the 4th place especially now when we have a player that scores... Practical wise - We will see...

If inter drop points again against Fiorentina…we play them next and they don’t seem to be in the best form either. Probably no better time to play them.

Pity we play PSV before and after that game…
In terms of form, I agree, but there is also the prestige in Juve vs Inter which means their players will be fired up. We will probably get a lose against Inter or a draw at best but we shouldnt cry about Fiorentina beating them and we dont, we just need to get more points in the other games.
Also Inter will probably beat Fiorentina in at least 6 games out of 10. So they lost one, its bound to happen sooner or later...

P.S Kean - I didnt like it when we sold him as I thought he has potential despite missing everything. Too bad we didnt get to see him under Motta. With the way Vlahovic is playing, Kean would probably bench his ass.

proof why we shouldn't judge output of players like dusan, yildiz, nico and koop too harshly. a focused attacking minded coach can do wonders instead of this current level of coaches we have had
Yap. Although we will continue to judge because we like to complain.

Is Palladino a more attack-minded coach than Motta?
If we do miss on CL football, I hope we dont make the mistake in taking him. Conte is clearly the guy we need but Palladino could succeed him later on.

Retegui turning out to be a prolific striker is the ultimate prove we need to say that Gasp is a coaching genius.

He's turned some nobodies from scrub leagues in to excellent players in his system. Hojlund, Koop, Lookman, Gosens, Kessie and the list goes on and on.

I hope we sack Motta after this season and give him a try. Sure, he's failed at Inter but it's obvious he knows how to utilize his players and he seems to get better with age.

Why would he leave Atalanta? He has a better squad arguably and the club has sky high faith in him.

Why would he risk all that and come to a club where if he draws a few matches too many people start calling for his head?

The moment he becomes our coach we will be hit with doping scandals unless he fails to get results

Agreed. I been quietly hoping for that for 2 years. Because Tuz not been receptive to it every time I brought it up.

No matter what the state of the club is in currently there is a still a huge difference between Juventus and Atalanta and it would be a dream job for any Italian.

Don't forget that he started his playing career with Juventus and spent almost 10 years coaching Juventus' YouTube team.

you're asking why a former juventus academy player and primavera coach wanted to return to the biggest club of italy?

Usually people use the argument he can’t be suited to a big club and Atalanta is his ceiling considering he failed at Inter. But if you think about it, Moratti-inter was a coaching graveyard and a very toxic environment. His failure over there shouldn’t overshadow the success he had for the past years.

He knows the league, language, won an European trophy and coaching us would be probably his last chance at being a “big” club

biggest problem with gasp is that he's a dick to work with. a true dictator allegedly. which is not a problem when you consider that our squad is full of pussies, but might be a dealbreaker for toli who's a wannabe dictator himself, or a corporation that wouldn't bend over for a coach. at atalanta he's 100% at the center of the company, for a good reason. at jj he would have to compromise in style, the way he talks to the press, thw way he handles bad spells, what kind of players he asks for, etc

for me it wouldn't be a biggie though. i'd give gasp a try. i wouldn't mind palladino either. but we all know who's the best choice if you wanna rebuild

I disagree with you both. He's a legend in Bergamo, won an European Cup, albeit not the UCL. Juve hasn't won an European cup in almost 30 years. The board will do his every whim. He has full control over transfers and doesn't have to deal with imbeciles like Giuntoli or the jew.

Why leave such a thriving project to come to a broken team like Juve where if he doesn't deliver in the first half of the season everyone turns against him. And even if he delivers people will still forget everything once things turn sour, like they did with Allegri.

I support this club for almost 30 years now and it's the only club I have ever followed, but if I were in Gasperini's shoes I would not leave Atalanta as things stand.
