When I played the sport competitively
almost decades ago, we played on way better pitches than this in some instances. Even some high schools in the US have better field quality than Serie A. Italy is a broke ass, stupid, innovation-less country, but surely they can do better than this.

The contrast on the photo on the left is ludicrous but yeah, what a disgraceful pitch for a first game of the season. The groundstaff should be immediately sacked.

I put this on earlier and turned it off because I thought it was some random match in the Estonian 3rd division or something. I couldn't understand why it was being televised.

I've been to Meadow Lane (Notts County) they've always had a nice pitch for as long as I can remember, suits their 'possession' style.

I'll even go as far to say Meadow lane is a better stadium than a number of Serie Ass stadiums
