Get Motta in here asap

Bologna has no business competing for 3rd yet here they are competing with a bunch of young, inexperienced folks who were nobodies before this season.

Throating a washed up coach and bitching about the quality of the squad while you have young, modern coaches punching above their weight with their respective teams...

It's an absolute travesty that we've let this anti-coach sit on the bench for three long seasons. JJ fans didn't deserve this.

What a balanced team Bologna is. Reflects Motta very well as a player. Was a hated player but honestly one of the smartest ones too and clearly understands the two phases of the game. They have one of the best defenses this season on top of being really fluid offensively... just imagine Allegri coaching this team lol

The question is, can Motta break JJ from all the bad habits, conceptual falsehoods, and sheer arrogance that Allegri has plagued us with for years? It will not be an easy task. Sarri and Pirlo couldn't do it, then we hired the fraud again.

I'd rather spend a season or two to learn what Motta is all about and reprogram our players. The players are simply done with this guy and need a change of management. None of them are motivated to do anything at this point. At least with a new coach, shitty players won't make the cut.
We could have at least given Pirlo another season knowing how three seasons of Allegri turned out to be such a massive failure.

Maybe we actually need an Inda guy, someone from the outside to break those habits. And someone whose footballing philosophy aligns with the 21st century way of playing football.

I agree with you. I'd much rather have a top non-Italian coach who has no prior connection to JJ or Serie A come and change the culture and our way of approaching games.

But Motta wouldn't be a half bad option. Originally a Lolzillian, spent his youth years at La Masia and won titles at Inda and PSG.

Motta looks very promising. Much rather him than Palladino or Conte.

Some of them deserve it for being stupid and "blind", defending and refusing to see he really is anti-coach as you put it.

So after this round we have a 7 point lead over Roma with 8 games to go. They have a tough schedule left, especially with those 2 European matches against Milan. I think we should be able to maintain our lead over them if we win 2 or 3 games or so, and not lose our direct confrontation with them, which of course would be a heroic effort.

The one thing in our favour is that teams chasing 4th spot don't tend to go unbeaten for 8 rounds in a row and we have a buffer.

The problem is it is very hard to see where our next win is coming from and we have go to play Roma away too.

Isn't a high probability (85%), that 5th placed in Serie A will also qualify for the Champions League ? in that case , only one team between Juve, Bologna, Roma and Atalanta will miss the CL spot. As Juve is the head of pack for now, what are the odds Juve finishes last of this group of 4 teams and hence miss the CL?

We're fighting Bologna for a CL place.

Let that sink in people.
that sounds a bit bad but small clubs can punch above their weight. leicester's pl title is the obvious prime example, but small clubs like sampdoria, chievo, udinese, villarreal, lens (etc) all achieved at least cl qualification place at some point. lens is such a small city that they have a bigger stadium than the whole population of the city lol, yet they played 3 cl campaigns already. or look at girona, they are competing with barcelona for 2nd place (will likely finish 3rd) and only started to regularly drop points very recently

the problem is that jj squads are underperforming for years now, and the club lacks any direction. bologna as a "rival" is a symptom of a deep crisis

kudos to bologna though, they are having an excellent season and will deserve 3rd place if they continue this form

De Laurentiis to the Rome prosecutors on the Osimhen deal:

"Cristiano Giuntoli conducted the entire negotiation and completed the transfer deal.”(mirko nicolino)
what a clown. btw giuntoli didn't sign anything

fun fact: juve next gen beat virtus entella earlier today. one of the guys included in the osimhen deal started for entella: lille bought manzi for 5m, which was accounted as a plusvalenza. he never played for the first lille team, he left the club on a bosman, then ended up in serie c.

meanwhile a jj plusvalenza did this today:
