Without these weekly ref favors we'd be a few points clear now but ignoring that for a second, they looks quite vulnerable don't they? They have a really tough scheduling coming up with Monza and Fiorentina away, us, Roma away and then the champions league ties. Can't believe im saying this but we seem to be the stronger side mentally at the moment - we need to keep the pressure on at all cost and i could see them slipping up.

Oh and did anyone notice on the coverage of the game, when the ref stopped play for the VAR check right at the end, the TV producers used the replay of Barella and Alexis missing the open goal, assuming there was a foul in that action  when the actual incident they were looking at was the clear as day foul Darmian committed on Magnani.

Verona director Sogliano on the match v Inter: “In the VAR room you can't miss an irregular goal like the Inter one. This is too much! It's very serious, you can't work like this in a VAR room. Total disrespect for Verona. Either it's disrespect or we come to know something else is there. A Big wrong." [@NicoSchira)

A shame his words will fall on deaf ears whilst Gravina bangs on about how great serie Ass is whilst attacking the super league.

forget the goal for a second. how do you not send off a player for that elbow. intentional elbow on a player not involved with the ball.

the league needs to ban him 3 matches for violent conduct. VAR or no VAR

After the match, the AIA's head of club relations, who was present at the San Siro for InterVerona, explained to Verona officials that Fabbri and Nasca made a mistake on Frattesi's goal and assured them of disciplinary action against the officials. Marotta was also present at the interview. [CdS]

Ah yes another week of disciplinary action for refs, yes well as one gets banned the other comes back and the viscious cycle of corruption continues, nothing gets fixed.

At this point it feels refs are taking it for the team. They send them out there, refs make game changing errors, after which they sit out for a few and then they are back in the game. Just taking turns.
