Exactly. How we did not win at least a CL with that squad is beyond me.
I used to think like that but not anymore, Capello's Juve shared the same problem with Allegri's juve.

They had good players, WC players even but as a group, as a team they lack pacey dynamic agile players and playstyle

Can't fans see that ultimately both Juve lost to teams that were faster, more dynamic and aggressive in their plays? Can't you see that this club has actually been running in circles and repeating the same mistake?

How many pacey and agile players did Inter and Milan have when they won the CL?

Those Milan fuckers won a CL with a backline full of geriatrics.

The onus on pace and athleticism is obviously huge today but not so much in the 90s or 2000s.

At the moment, without a doubt this club has a scarcity of agile and athletic beasts.

If we continue to recruit one dimensional players like Fagjinho and Penardi, there's going to be more Villareal style thumpings in the future.

Milan had Kaka, merda had etoo and the likes... Capello Juve didn't have such players, Nedved was on decline at his helm. 2015 Juve had Tevez and Morata, no coincidence that both were the architects of the only goal we scored.

However, Barca had more players like them... Just like Real had more players like them in 2017.

And the English in 2005 and 2006 also had more players like that than we ever had, and they also played the stereotypical English game that this team almost always struggled against, I mean just last year we had 30% ball possession at home against Chelsea? If any other big European teams plays like that we would laugh at them right? Playing like that is only excuseable against prime tiki taka Guardiola teams...

In those matches, we were eventually overrun in similar manners. And this extends to all our European failures post Lippi era too... It doesn't matter whether it was on a final or a group stage last game, it doesn't matter whether it was against Galatasaray or Bayern... Our losses more or less occurred in similar manners, unable to break down lesser teams or overrun by better teams.

Crashing out against Benfica in EL or against Villareal in CL occurred similarly in the process... Whether it was Capello, or Conte, or Allegri at the helm... Is it a coincidence that our European failures were more or less similar?

The philosophy of this team needs to change, and it applies to the whole Italian football as well.

better late than never lol

Until they lose it to Inter for their second star. Jokes will be on us.

As much as I hate Napoli and De Laurentiis, I'd rather they win the scudetto over the two Milanese clubs.
I don’t care much who wins it, but I like stories and narratives. Having a scudetto taken away because of COVID is just so funny to pass on.
