Seria Week 1 Sunday Match Preview

- Udinese vs Juventus (win by 2 or more goals. I predict 0-3 or 1-3/1-4)
  • We are clear favourite for this match
  • With Inter , Lazio and Atalanta win, we need to win this kind of match so we can be competitive
  • Udinese sold Musso and De Paul this season but they get Silvestri from Verona
  • Their attacking threat will come from Roberto Pereyra ( ex Juventus) and Gerard Deulofeu
  • With their top attack is the Juventus outcast telling very much that we have so much better quality than Udinese
  • We have Mister Allegri back so our players will be on high spirit to prove their worth
  • We still wait for the appearance of Locatelli and Kaio Jorge as our new signing, hopefully they got 15-20 minutes of action
- Bologna vs Salernitana (1 goal win for Bologna 2-1/3-2, with a pretty low chance of draw)
  • Bologna just come from defeat in Italian cup against Ternana
  • Their new signing Arnautovic is raring to go, and the lost against Ternana will make Bologna improve their guard and dont underestimate all of the opponent in front of them
  • Salernitana get Simy the goalscorer of Crotone, but he probably will come from the bench. So we can expect that Salernitana getting some attacking threats too. as what we saw with Empoli yesterday. That promotion club usually have big spirit in the start of the league. So they can be pretty surprising
  • I really think if both team play an open and exciting game there will be much goals from this match
- Napoli vs Venezia ( Napoli win by 1 or 2 goals)
  • Napoli has a pretty convincing pre season as they even beat Muenchen by 3-0
  • While Venezia will come with their spirited and young squad but the experience on the top flight will prevail in this match
  • Maybe the Tuz Murican warriors need to change their favourite club to Venezia as they will fill with so much Muricans. Epsecially if they can buy McKennie too as their leader LOL just kidding guys
  • Spalletti is not a new guy in Serie A, and the characteristic of Napoli players that love to attack with pace will be one of the force for top half finish in Serie A
- Roma vs Fiorentina (Draw, with a slight chance of Roma winning)
  • Both have new coach, with Fiorentina change from Iachini to Gattuso and Italiano latter is showing how their mediocre their management are
  • While AS Roma did sign top flight coach in Mourinho. Mourinho has his touch with Serie A and his system is proven capable from Serie A
  • With the acquisition of Rui Patricio (GK), Matias Vina (LB) and Shomurodov (CF) they keep showing some improvement in their preseason. But there is some note when they got 3 red card against Real Betis. This could be their downside
  • But Fiorentina too have a great preseason as they keep the clean sheet in their last 5 matches. With Vlahovic bagging goals here and there, but yes that is some lower side they encounter
  • This match will decide whether Mourinho can put a stop on Vlahovic and fast transition with Zaniolo as their gamemaker and Shomurodov as the finisher
  • With him as a lone striker, this will be the year for Shomurodov to shine , giving that he will get service from Roma midfielders
Will do the other 2 matches later maybe before or after Juve matches. Ciao

I like your prediction thing - keep it up.
As for predictions - I expect Venezia to snatch a draw 1-1 while Roma Fiorentina it will be 0-0 or 1-0 to Roma (despite the nature of Roma and Fiorentina)

I know but I've never seen them use that one before. In fact, it seems they only use is on this season's third kit.

Quite similar. I bet there's some shared history there. @JuveJay

I think it's been spoken about on the forum before but Genoa's is the flag/cross of St. George (which England adopted during trade with the Genoese and later kind of stole - the Genoese had it first). Barcelona also have this flag as part of their coat of arms and it is on the FC Barcelona emblem. Milano/AC Milan have an identical flag which is of St. Ambrose.

Deportivo's is not related. I didn't know why purple but apparently the gymnasium the team originated from had purple and white as their colours. Purple is also a royal colour. The blue diagonal band is obviously from the Galician flag.

Inter 5-0 Genoa
Genoa 0-4 Inter
Genoa 0-3 Inter
Genoa 0-2 Inter
Inter 3-0 Genoa
Inter 4-0 Genoa

Last 6 games. Meanwhile some mouthbreather on FIF will have an eppy because we signed a player from Sassuolo. I wonder how much Preziosi owes Moratti over the years with those weird deals?

- Cagliari vs Spezia (Cagliari win by 1 goal)
  • Spezia will feel the lose of Italiano who goes to Fiorentina
  • Spezia got their preseason games all canceled because of covid case, without preseason we don't know how their fitness conditions are. But this could be significant advantage for Cagliari
  • Cagliari could lose Nahitan Nández as he push for Inter transfer
  • The fact that Spezia have conceded at least 2 goals in 7 of their last 8 away matches (Serie A) will make Cagliari as favourite for this match
  • This could be a game with high total goals as in the last 5 match they get all more than 2.5 total goals
  • Cagliari got some improvement in Strootman and Dalbert, while Spezia got Ebrima Colley and Viktor Kovalenko on loan from Atalanta
