Today in Corriere dello Sport there is a column by Alessandro Giudice – a financial expert who said back in April that Inter would have to sell.
Main theses
▪️ The sale of Lukaku and Hakimi will bring the club 90-100 million euros plus valencians, who will be registered in the 2021/22 season.
But the main thing for Inter right now is not the plusvalentsa, but the specific difference in sales and purchases, because the club needs current assets.
In the summer of 2020, Inter received 117 million – 50 million for the sale of Icardi and 67 million for bonds. This was not enough to cover salaries – I had to take a loan from Oaktree, 50 million of it went to salaries.
Inter will receive about 173 million for the transfers of Lukaku and Hakimi, 13 of which should be given to Standard for Vanhuisden. Will 160 million be enough to cover the budget deficit for the 2021/22 season?
▪️ In theory, yes. The departure of Hakimi and Lukaku reduces the salary list (they received 14 million net), and the opening of stadiums should bring about 30 million. But in general, the salary costs do not change much – Conte's contract is equal to his compensation+Inzaghi's contract, Chalhanoglu receives about the same as Eriksen (this is if Christian's salary is taken over by FIFA). New sponsorship contracts are not so profitable as to make a difference.
It should also be taken into account that Inter owes 50 million MU and 30 million Real.
▪️ How much can Inter allocate for transfers now? About 40 million, but then it is obvious that next summer there will be even more problems – we need to find 170 million again somewhere.
Conclusion-Inter can do without other big sales this summer, but then in a year there will be a lot of sales. You can forget about expensive incoming transfers in any case.
