While this is true to a degree... Napoli had more possession than us (52%), completed more passes, and had almost double the attempts at goal. They were also missing Koulibaly, Allan, and Mertens in that match. While much of their passing and possession was just playing keep away from us in their own half or outside our final third, they most certainly did not park the bus like most small teams allowing us all the possession, soaking up a huge amount of pressure and hitting exclusively on the counter. We barely pressured them, with or without the ball, and while they did counter at times, more often they just dinked the ball around their own half until an opening appeared for a quick surge forward before returning to their defensive shape.
