FIGC: "Our next initiative to show our love and respect towards black players is to demand from all the clubs in Serie A to create different bathrooms and locker-rooms for black players. They all should be painted with our anti-racist chimps and instead of energy drinks before the game, clubs should put some native foods for them like bananas and watermelons."

:baus:
Real quote or being facetious? Can't tell anymore

They have simply no clue what they are doing.

I mean, about 30 cameras in the stadium would solve this situation quick. Ban a few idiot for life and the next ones will think twice before doing it again. Give them bananas too as they are escorted out of stadium.

They even have the EPL as an example which uses this method and it's pretty efficient.

But no, let's hire some artist who draws monkeys.

Maybe, as they clearly have no intention of clamping down on racist fans making monkey noises, they've decided to normalize the monkey, take it back from the racists like black people have with the n word.

Like after scoring Lukaku will run to Asamoah "waaas good mah monkey". its a bold plan but then again Italy is a forward thinking place.

The explanation from the artist with the asian monkey, the western monkey...and the black monkey is my favorite part about all of this.

Chimps are more intelligent than monkeys, so it’s really a favourable depiction? :shifty:
you’re looking at this wrong, he still called chimps monkeys meaning he thinks of them as lesser.

so in that sense, calling chimps monkeys is no different than calling black people monkeys. There are undertones to this message, on top of the glaring overtones for lack of a better word

Lmao this guy has based his entire career on painting chimps and calls them monkeys

They turned the concept back on the racists, as we are all monkeys originally.
