Ex-Italy striker faces prison?
By Football Italia staff

Former Juventus and Italy striker Vincenzo Iaquinta reportedly faces six years in prison for alleged mafia links.

The 2006 World Cup winner was indicted back in December 2015 for illegal possession of firearms, according to Deutsche Welle and AFP, as well intention to aid the 'Ndrangheta, the Calabrian mafia.

More than 140 people have been trialled in the case, one of whom is Iaquinta’s father, for whom prosecutors are demanding 19 years’ imprisonment.

Several suspects are suspected of having helped the ’Ndrangheta profit illegally from reconstruction projects in the Emilia-Romagna region after two earthquakes in 2012.

Others are believed to have been helping the 'Ndrangheta to infiltrate the north of Italy, where the organisation is traditionally weaker.

Among the crimes being levelled against the various defendants are false billing, fraud, usury and extortion.

Iaquinta played for the likes of Udinese, Juve and Cesena and scored six goals in 40 caps for Italy, prior to his retirement in 2012.
watch this make more headlines than the news of the napoli players linked with camorra

Yes. If it were up to me, Arsenal would go full in for Koulibaly. I rate him very much; I'm also kind of biased to defenders that can play well with the ball, but he's a very good defender too, and his physicality would be perfect for the EPL.

Also, I don't know what I'd do if Mustafi were to start for us next season too :yuck:

Do not forget the fact that they made each year a profit in the last 10 years. They have enough financial reserves. The only problem is their attractive power, it is way less than topclubs and sub-top PL clubs.
what's shocking is that some players stick there with the kind of wages they give.
While ours are always unhappy about their wages ....

It also has to do with our players reaching their objectives and bringing home silverware, whereas Napoli's players obviously fell short of achieving that.

Report: American interest in Milan
By Football Italia staff

Reports in Italy once again claim Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross could step in to take over Milan if Yonghong Li defaults on his loans.

The Chinese businessman had to borrow €180m from U.S hedge fund Elliott Management to complete his takeover, while the club itself owes around €128m.

These debts have to be paid by October, and the club has been seeking to refinance, taking a longer-term loan at a lower interest rate.

However, this has so far proved unsuccessful, and yesterday UEFA refused a settlement agreement on Financial Fair Play, in part due to concerns about the ownership of the club.

If Li doesn’t pay his debt Elliott can take over the club, and would presumably then sell to the highest bidder to recoup their investment.

Today Milano Finanza is reporting that the hedge fund would sell for €400-500m, and there is an American consortium interested.

The group is headed by Stephen Ross, it’s claimed, with the backing of banking giant Goldman Sachs.

Stephen Ross owns 95 per cent of NFL franchise the Miami Dolphins, and is worth around $12bn.

He has been linked with a takeover of Milan in the past.

Serie A definitely needs fresh investment, as a product on tv it's lacking compared to the EPL bandwagon

Roma signed their best deal ever for 13 million a season shirt sponsorship, Man United's training sponsorship kit with DHL is worth more in one season than Roma's over 3 seasons for their main kit

That’s because most of their players (with the exception of 3 or 4) aren’t top stars and aren’t wanted by bigger clubs.
Careful now before you say something that could be used against the great man.

Di Matteo

Luckiest fuck in CL history.
So, by his logic, Di Matteo is a better coach - or at least a better CL coach - than Allegri lol. Anomalies have become the norm.

And Max reaching two CL finals beating superior Real & Barca don't count.

Di Matteo

Luckiest fuck in CL history.
That was one of the most satisfying CL wins I've ever seen, so much rage, so much disappointments, so much tears. Barca  the diving  bayern
Only one that was more satisfying then that CL win, was the Liverpool win over Meelan, possibly my favorite final of all times. The tears just get my dick hard
