It's not a battle, it's a dog fight.

It's been the same for their entire post-Mourinho time

1. Sign a new manager in the summer
2. Sign promosing players
3. Play a decent string of results
4. Claim the scudetto is yours
5. Lose a match
6. Implode
6.5. Blame Rubents, Var and Refs
7. Sack manager
8. Repeat
Added point 6.5
Works for Napoli as well.

Only this league from top 5 in Europe still has an open race for title.

But not for long with that Nipples history of choking, lul.

They were. They drew away against us and was at the top of league. Icardi was an absolute beast, and the team was playing well with a minimum of brain farts. It makes good sense to call them a Scudetto challenger early on. Hindsight is 20/20, right?
Nah. They were fluking their way to 1 goal wins while being outplayed in a large number of matches. Icardi was keeping them afloat with clinical finishing, and Handanovic making saves. As soon as Icardi falls out of form and Handanovic stops making impossible seeming saves, they suck.

It was the exact same thing 2 years ago in 15-16 when they were first in the table from round 15-18, and then only won 8 of their last 20 matches.

There's nothing obscure in calling a team that is number 1 after round 15 and 16 a Scudetto challenger. When they lost to Udinese and Sassuolo in round 17 and 18 they showed they didn't have the mental fortitude and they clearly lack depth.

Sorry, I disagree. They have pretty much the same team as last year, that finished 9th. It was pretty obvious, in my opinion, that the first bump in the road would derail their season.
