Serie A clubs push Lotito
By Football Italia staff

It’s reported that 11 Serie A clubs will support Claudio Lotito to run for the Presidency of the FIGC.

The Lazio President has repeatedly refused to confirm or deny that he’ll run to replace Carlo Tavecchio, who stepped down after Italy failed to reach the World Cup.

Former Roma midfielder Damiano Tommasi and Lega Pro President Gabriele Gravina have already announced their candidacy, and it’s thought Lotito will run too.

According to news agency ANSA, the Biancocelesti chief declared in today’s meeting that he has the support of the necessary 11 clubs, but he didn’t show the document confirming their support.

The deadline for nominations is on Sunday.

“The assembly did not rule on a candidacy or on a candidate to support, so any talk is linked to the deadline of January 14 and then we’ll see,” Tavecchio told reporters after the meeting.

“At the meeting, no single candidacies were presented.”

I can't believe it.
Lotito? for real?!
Nothing will ever change in Italy.
You have a chance to change everything to set things properly and you're gonna ruin it with a mafia man
