what makes me laugh is the level of inconsistency with VAR, they used it to see if there was an intentional handball in the box - no pen awarded against inda and yet in the nipples game yesterday, blatant handball and VAR not even used
The problem is how is VAR supposed to stamp out alleged corruption or subconscious favoritism if the ref can just choose not to look at it

two more points dropped for Inter :agree: They have been in free fall since coming up against us and getting bossed @Hustini

Make it like Tennis and problem solved, each team gets 3 calls a half to use VAR then there is no selective bias and a team can overrule the referee if they feel he missed something

VAR should come down to the coaches challenging. That is the only way to eliminate corruption. You give the coaches a couple challenges and they decide when to do it. All they have to do is go to the 4th official standing right beside them and say challenge. If they don't do it within a reasonable time period (5-10 seconds) then play continues. Case closed.

Mertens handles the ball. Crotone coach goes to 4th official immediately and says challenge. 4th official buzzes the ref. Ref stops play immediately and goes to look.

If Crotone was wrong on 2 previous challenges, they have no more left, too bad.

Across Europe's top five leagues in Italy, Spain, Germany, England and France, the Premier League only produced the fourth best goals per game ratio (2.80) this season, bettering only the football on offer inLigue 1(2.61).

Meanwhile, a fixture in Italy'sSerie Athis season saw almost three goals per game on average (2.96). That number is closely followed by Spain (2.94), then theBundesliga(2.87).
In cold, hard goals this season, there were 1,064 in the Premier League's 380 games this season - massively short of Serie A (1,123) andLa Liga(1,118).

Just saw an article and thought that some people are interested in this numbers.

Premier League has got quite a few defensive coaches, while in Serie A the number of attacking minded teams keep growing - Napoli, Lazio, Atalanta, not surprising at all

If we’re talking about the top 6 teams in the PL, I don’t agree with you at all. All of them are attack minded besides Mourinho (and maybe in Europe, Conte). Klopp, Pep, Poch, Wenger and Conte all encourage their teams to ply attacking football.

Conte does not encourage his team to play attacking football. Its one of Chelsea's issues even, they lost their defensive balance without Matic a bit WHILE still being mediocre offensively, so they heavily rely on individual quality in attack most times while playing with 9 defensive players. The odd ball 4-0 or 5-0 here or there, but in general this seasons Chelsea opposite of remotely attacking, not really imaginative or inventive, if you dont have Hazard showing up, you rely on Alonso set piece or Aspicueleta finding Morata with a perfect cross in your typical game.
