everyone on the Milan forum turning on Montella, so much hype about that fucking garbage team, all over the facebook, all over any football sites, "AC Milan is back", they had a slightly above average transfer market but please, the way everyone was hyping them up was insane, plus they have Fabio Borini for some reason, id rather take Anelka back than have Borini anywhere near my team

Very early days but Milan fans must be worried about how bad they look. After the money they have spent and wages they are spending, missing out on the CL could be dangerous for them.

Montella is very overrated.
He can't even be overrated except one promising season with Viola. Rest is bizzarely spineless coaching. I mean he was utter failure for Sampdoria but gets hired by Milan any way. While Samp replace him with a superior coach in Giampaolo and do much better.

Milan are going to stay irrelevant unless they appoint someone like Conte or Simeone. I think they'll have to try very hard for a real world class coach at some point, at the moment they are just playing at it, but it will take time to gel a team. We got quite lucky with Conte that he got so many new players together in a short space of time, his enthusiasm and pressure on the players bridged the gap. Montella is not that kind of character.

Why is anyone surprised of how bad Milan really are? They spent 230 mln euro on 11 players in a market where a player was sold for 220 mln. euro. For these players they did not have much competition in first place and they even overpaid. You cannot buy a whole team and pay on average 20 mln for a player and expect them to be world beaters.Their took advice from Alessio Secco most probably. They had paid similar amounts for the players they sold and now bought the same quality for even more money. :ratcafe: Instead of splashing the money on 11 turds they should have bought 4-5 really good footballers who could bring them back in CL and then to upgrade the squad.
