Inter prepare January sales
By Football Italia staff

Inter’s shock Europa League exit could prompt the departure of Gabigol, Jonathan Biabiany, Stevan Jovetic, Felipe Melo and Davide Santon.

The Nerazzurri crashed out of the tournament in the group stage for the first time, having lost four of their five games so far.

A 3-2 defeat at Hapoel Be’er-Sheva on Thursday was the final nail in their continental coffin.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, failing to qualify for the next round has cost the club €15m and the squad will be cut down to size accordingly.

Jovetic, Melo and Biabiany have been on the exit list for a while, but Santon is also apparently on the market for the right price.

Inter invested €29.5m to sign Gabriel 'Gabigol’ Barbosa from Santos in August, but he has made just one Serie A appearance for 16 minutes.

Frank de Boer said Gabigol was “not ready” to play in Italy and new Coach Stefano Pioli seems to agree.

In the circumstances, a loan spell at a smaller Serie A side for six months would give the youngster some much-needed experience.

Pescara are the most likely club to take him on, though Empoli and Bologna are also options.
Inter invest in Verratti and James
By Football Italia staff

Inter owners Suning fly in on Monday and plan to invest €150m next summer, with James Rodriguez and Marco Verratti their targets.

The team crashed out of the Europa League at the first hurdle after losing four of their five games so far.

It’s reported Suning Group will send President Zhang Jindong, his son Stephan Zhang and President Erick Thohir to Milan on Monday.

They’ll be in the stands for the Monday evening Serie A match with Fiorentina at San Siro, but will also take the opportunity to start planning ahead.

According to Tuttosport and the Corriere dello Sport, Suning are prepared to invest €150m on the transfer market next summer to make the struggling side more competitive.

The main targets are Real Madrid creative midfielder James Rodriguez, who is frustrated at the lack of regular playing time, and Paris Saint-Germain star Verratti.

This week Verratti’s agent confirmed the former Pescara player is a Juventus fan and “would run” to the Bianconeri if the right offer came in.

Verratti would represent one of the few Italians at Inter and therefore stand out as the example of a new era.

Tuttosport also note bids for Benfica defender Victor Lindelof.

The state of journalism :wojak:
They are deluded as are merda fans on their forum. Look at their transfers for the summer:

" Bring in Inter team,

Griezman
Franc Kessie
Koke
Ricardo Rodriguez
Darmian
Marquinhos
Domenico Berardi
and some central defenders because right now i don't know who we would need."

All of them in one transfer window, crazy mofos!

Good man

Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini admits he enjoyed revenge over Inter and was close to taking the Juventus job on two occasions.

The Coach was famously fired after just five games in September 2011.

“The three-man defence there was seen as repugnant,” Gasp told La Repubblica newspaper.

“I wasn’t at the club long enough to do damage. If anything, Inter did damage to me. It was very satisfying afterwards to finish above Inter in the table with Genoa.”

He’s on track to repeat the trick, as Atalanta are currently in joint fourth place, seven points above the Nerazzurri.

Gasp worked at the Juventus youth academy, but came close to the main Turin bench too.

“I twice had contact, when they were in Serie B and then during the era of Alessio Secco and Jean-Claude Blanc.

“I will always be grateful to Juve because that club transmitted values that today might seem anachronistic: discipline, sense of belonging, a respect for your roles and your opponents.

“What I learned there, I tried to pass on to players as a Coach.”

@Mark Lapadula has awoken, now they may become foolish enough to sell Bacca in January after this bizzare takeover doesnt happen, because apparently Berlusconi doesnt want it to happen, so many weird rationals about it in latest news.

Why is every young player nowadays a milanista when our fanbase is twice as big?

Could our fanbase be becoming older in Italy?
You are better then ditzy posts like this.

Bacca is another one of these outdated strikers who despite scoring a lot does seem to hamper the output of the side as a whole. Although they still would be stupid to sell him. Especially given he can't be worth much at his age.
