..

I was wondering who holds the top scorer's record in the Seria A. In the past 4/5 years, i dont think that anyone scored more than 24 goals. While This Year, with the expantion of Seria A to 20 teams and with the likes of Adriano, who already scored 13 goals. I think he's gonna break the record whatever it is, i dont think it more than 30 or so.

If someone can find who it is, or the top ten scorer's record. Then plz posted it here.

1. 1949-50 Gunnar Nordahl Milan 35
2. 1950-51 Gunnar Nordahl Milan 34
3. 1958-59 A. Valentin Angelillo Inter 33

Nordahl made 37 apperences when he scored those goals. Angelillo scored 33 in 33 games. Some scorers got 40 apperences in those days. Maybe they had some playoffs or something.

"That Gunnar guy"????? Gunnar Nordahl was a Swedish giant twice as strong as John Charles. With his compatriots Liedholm and Gren he formed the legendary trio referred to as the "Gre-No-Li" that made Milan become the most successful Italian team of the 50's. With 225 serie A goals (in less than 250 games) scored, Nordahl quite simply is the second all-time scorer behind Silvio Piola.

I just noticed a mistake in that list : Virdis was topscorer in 87-88, the year of Sacchi's Milan first (and only) domestic win. Maradona was topscorer the season before that.

Where was that Gunnar guy from?
Come on  how can you not know of Nordahl . In Sweden he's a legend. Gunnar Gren och Nils Liedholm too.

Nordahl actually have a son who have played for Juve, Thomas Nordahl. I think he spent most of his time on the bench though. He also had two brothers who played football in Italy. Bertil Nordahl, Atalanta and Knut Nordahl, Roma. Quite good family reputation. ;)

<--- Another Swedish legend, Kurt Hamrin. ;)
