dude, the only people who insult capello are the ones on this forum.
i dont remember people at the stadium holding banners against capello or people protesting on the streets of turin against capello.

just because some particular people sitting on a computer insult him doesnt make him a bad manager by any means.

Let me tell you what happened in the last month and you tell me if I have the right to lose hope or not.

Juventus won against Inter in a deserved victory even though Capello made some errors there but still the team managed to get the three points. At that point I still had faith in the team and Capello's so called abitlity.

What happens after that game? We go to play Messina in our worst display of the season and do not manage to win the game. We allowed Messina to net two goals against us and let them appear like the better team. At that point I was still giving excuses and it was the exuse at that game was players are tired after the Inter game.

Another excuse might come up to mind and is the game against Bremen was coming up and the players are nervous. I thought, fine, let them be nervous a big game is coming up, they will handle it in a proper way.

Then comes the game, and what a game it was. Do I need to go into details about that game, I don't think you want to hear what I have to say about it.

Here I said, that's a cloud and it will pass by and I was happy we are playing Lecce afterwards so some morale will be injected in the players and hopefully Capello would try something for further use in other games. It was the right opportunity to do that. What happens? Capello comes in with the same approach and let Lecce embarrass him by taking the lead in Delle Alpi. Again another WRONG approach of the game that we managed to win due to individual performances.

Even at that point I still had faith in the team and was also hoping we will improve. We go to play Sampdoria in Genoa to once again win with a 1-0 goal where Sampdoria was the more superior team. Here I gave the excuse of the Messina game and here the excuse was even more valid. The game agaisnt Bremen was coming up and we HAD to win because we are coming from a loss in the first game.

You cannot imagine the expectations I had for the game, you cannot imagine what I was waiting for. A trashing, a beating, a display that will spread the fear in the whole other teams. I was expecting a massacre of a German team in Torino. Look what happened here:

1- THREE non-fit players start. Not one, not two, THREE!!!
2- One of those players hadn't played in ages, Zebina, he starts ahead of others who were doing good during his absence. He plays just because the coach prefers him personally over others, no tactical excuse there.
3- A player who is 50% fit starts ahead of two other players. Not only he is 50% fit, he is OFF-FORM for the whole fucking season. What was the reason he starts? Capello says afterwards that he started with Zlatan ahead of Del Piero and he knew that Zlatan was not fit. That is not a reason, that is what everyone saw.
4- We come in the game with an approach of winning it with a virgin goal, the exact same way he approached the second game against Liverpool last season.

Here I got fed up and I decided to watch another game instead. I went to watch Barcelona - Chelsea. My love for the team dragged me back to watch the Juve game just to see us conceding the goal. The moment I switched back to watch Juve Micoud was netting a killer in Gigi's net.

I thought to myself, I have to support the team and watch the last 70 minutes they play in the tournament. I watched the wrong football up to the 88th minute where Wiese gifted Emerson a goal. I screamed, I jumped, I celebrated but I felt so much disappointed. Much more disappointed that all the disappointments I had for the past games. Tens and tens fold of disappointments. The way we qualified is a joke. The commentators laughed at the goal during that evening and during the second evening. The goal was repeated tens of times and at each time the experts were laughing at how Juventus qualified for the quarter finals.

We were mocked, we were laughed at and all this is because of one person.

I hope you understand what I went through.

Dominic, I am far from seeking for attention, I thought you know better.
That in a nutshell is why I am no fan of Capello and Vinman at the very start was like that, its taken Andy a while but he too has seen the light and you had to go thru hell to see it. I do not get that emotional cos of matches but i do get irritated but i don't take things as personally and as serious as some do here. Juve is a team i support but i won't put my health on the line cos of football. I used to view Capello from afar when he was at Milan, Real madrid and Roma, though he had successes and all that , i was never bowled over by his style of play but its taken him to be manager of Juve to realise how overrated he really is.
His managing style consists of players with height and athletic ability and if you are not big and tall or do not run for miles and miles , he is not impressed by you. As long as these guys can run , it does not matter how fit or in form they are , they will play, i am talking about Nedved, Thuram, Zebina, Trez, Zlatan, Vieira and Emerson . If Zalayeta showed any form at all, he would have been ahead of Dp and Mutu. His fall guys are always the same, Mutu, Camoranesi and Dp. Its almost like there is no study at all of the opposition, what are their strengths , what are their weaknesses? How on earth do you play the same way against Sampdoria, Messina and Werder Bremen? Whats the sense in that? We made Bremen look like they could defend, never mind ice juve saying they raised their game. Why can't we raise ours? Why the same pace against different teams? We are playing 4-4-2 without any genuine wingers. Those who support Capello do not realise how well people like nedved,Dp , Mutu , Camo have saved his hide.We all admire Barcelona and the way they play, well its because 90% of the team are playing in positions where they are comfortable unlike ours where you have a right footer at left back, a left footer at right back, a support striker at left wing or right wing, an aging attacking midfielder at left wing and in form player on the bench with his wooly hat. i don't care how much of a gentleman Dp is, surely its gotta rankle if someone out of form and unfit plays ahead of you all the time cos he is taller than you. Its understandable if Zlatan is fit and raring to go, cos i personally will play him ahead of Dp but if he is out of sorts then thats a nonsense.
Last season we played our best game against Milan by playing the ball on the ground but after that we are back to playing long balls or passes that are not going anywhere.
Its not that difficult to win matches if you got the players in serieA , but in Cl and world cup and tournaments like that you also need to have players playing in positions and tactics that suit them, and thats why we have been struggling.
If we win this game 3-0, people will give Capello 9 but if we lose to Lecce they call for his head, i wont give him 9 cos its the same tatctics he will use in both games , it seems to me everything depends way too much on how the players perform not anything to do with what the manager contributes

So if the players perform GOOD its because they are GOOD..
If the players perform BAD its because of Capellos tactics..

I dont really se how this is possible??

The key to this match will be making sure we contain Kaka through the middle of the park and do not let Milan have too much posession in midfield. Last time we faced Milan we entered the match flat as usual, and they were able to pressure us into making mistakes and just ran rings around us through midfield. We cannot let that happen again. As always it is imperative we win the midfield battle and take the game to them in our own home.
