Not the best of performances but it was not that boring a match to me.

But like Vinnyman, I am flabbergasted and disgusted that Dp gets to be subbed every time irrespective of how he is performing and I cannot believe he has not let rip yet. Its all well and good being a model professional and all that but he is the captain for goodness sakes and it cannot be good for his ego and all that to be always subbed when your strike partner puts in a very ordinary performance but he gets to play the full matches. Its either that or Dp has totally lost his motivation for the game cos I am pretty sure, I would definitely have been having words with hte manager.

I dont know if any of u watch British Eurosperts but aint it annoying how the commentators go over the top when it comes to Zlatan, yes he has natural football skills but he has no clue how to play the game whatsoever, keep it simple is something he has no idea how to do and passing the ball at the right time when your team mate is free is not in his make up, he has to act the big shot all the time, the show stopper, the main event , when just being part of the cast will suffice.

The referee was just an embarrassment and to be fir that goes for both sides as his decisions were baffling even if I would not have awarded Cipriani any penalty , in fact i would have sent him off, and the critical free kick was no such thing as referees tent to pick n choose when they award free kicks for shirt tugging

Buffon 7.5 was brilliant with his shot stopping and saved our hides on numerous occasions but lets himself down when it comes to starting a counter atack by releasing the ball early, he never does that and i find that really annoying as he seems to waiting for prolong appaluse

Zebina 5 absolutely useless at going forward and instead of crossing or passing he tiried to take on his man and failed on each occasion

Zambrotta 6 better than he was against Lazio thats for sure and seemed to be paying for his dive against Bologna as the manager and strikers were going for his jugular

Cannavaro 6 very solid defender but absolutely crap with the ball at his feet but always reliable to throw himself at any shots

Thuram 5.5 not good nor bad

Emerson 6.5 was commanding in the midfield and very unlucky not to score twice as desperate defending stopped him

Appiah 4.5 back to the rubbish of last season with his passin which was absolutely awful

Nedved 6 ran like he always does and scored a cracker

Camo 6 did some very good things but not as bright as he ahs been in other games

Dp 6 nice touches but tends to hide in games as he hardly frees himself but stays where its difficult for his team mates to pass to him

Zlatan 5 over elaboraes in almost every situation and didnt play well at all

Tacchinardi no mark as he didnt do anything woirth talking about ditto Zalayeta

Kapo 6 looked lively when he came on

some people in here get me down. everyone on saying look at how we struggle against lowly bologna, well anyone remember milan v bologna that game was almost identical to juves match milan scored in the 82 min and went on to grab a late second, but overall struggeled big time.

im glad with this weekends results while milan float around after winning 6-0 thinking they by far and away are the best team in italy and will come saturday stuff juve.

while juve will train hard be motivated battling in training striving to improve and come saturday milan are the ones in for a shock

I'm not. The offense was sputtering, and it needed a change -- any change. DP has a few years on him, and he hasn't exactly been injury-free for much of this season. To me, it made sense to sub him for the change, leave Zlatan in (who is significantly younger and has avoided injury thus far), and save him up for Saturday's gargantuan match.

He ended up in the center of the pitch far too often too -- whereas he seems most effective on the wing. I'd give him a 5.5.

5.5. What DP does better than any other Juve forward is cover the breadth of the field. He's often back in support of Emerson while also driving forward on an offensive run. Perhaps in being too far back sometimes, this is something that needed a little tuning in yesterday's match?

Exactly. Zlatan is NOT as good as he pretends to be. Football isn't a very hard game. When you have the ball you just go down a list of options: "when I'm in this position I have 50% chance to make sure we score if I pass the ball, I have 5% chance to score if I try to go on my own and I have 90% chance to give a pass that reaches a teammate." Looks like Zlatan doesn't play like this. He just assumes going on his own is always the right option to choose.

Oh please Seven, denco, and Vinny. Zlatan has over 8 assists thus far in the season, which is a fairly large total. Yes he does tend to hang on to the ball for a bit longer than we would like, but sometimes it benefits us (ie setting up DP's goal in Munich). He can only improve on that aspect of his game. For his first few months at Juventus he has certainly met my expectations. Walking into this club on September 1st and becoming our most threatening striker is pretty damn good to me.

Come on Andy, his "assist" on DP's goal at Munich was a pure ACCIDENT. He was shooting on net, and had no intention whatsoever on passing to DP.

Second horse shit of the night Nick. The rules state that a player cannot GRAB HOLD of an opposing player's shirt. Everything is "part of the game," but if the referee spots the infraction, his DUTY is to blow the whistle and give a free kick. This type of infraction is not always spotted, but I'm sure on Sunday you'd be livid if Cannavaro grabs hold of Shevchenko's jersey and obstructs him around the box. Its only a crime if you get caught doing it, as you would say.
