this will be a first test to see if Guintoli has what it takes to not waive promising players.
His first test would be is to sell all our deadwood, reduce our wage bill and improve our financial health.

Letting go of youngsters falls below in the pecking order of priorities.

me neither. rovella 20m, pellegrini 10m, +20m in cash, insanity

pellegrini +20m is fine, even throw in rovella for a year of dry loan without option (without international cups he won't play too much anyway), but giving away rovella like this is nuts

that said, it's pedulla so likely some bs

I don't really get this deal so far. I think he's awesome as a player to have but we already have Pogba/Fagioli - Locatelli - Rabiot on our roster. I'm guessing he can't play as a lone DM so he'd take Pogba's spot who has injury problems. But that position doesn't seem like our most problematic imo.

To me it seems like we need a LB, #10 and maybe a DM more rather than a B2B midfielder imo.

Only way for this to make sense is to ga with a 4-3-1-2 but then we really need a #10 as well

This is just so typical of JJ. Letting go of a promising youngster to sign an expensive risk that may or may not work out. Then a few weeks into the season we'll be saying "should have kept Rovella" as if it's so difficult to predict.

Is Goontoli really a new guy or what? Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

If SMS is so good, how come no clubs
except for Juve really want him and he's still playing at Lazio at the age of 28?

Idk how good Rovella is going to become, but I'd like to find out before giving him away and potentially regret it.

What?
Fagioli is overrated, rovella is the much better player
