Ahmed... JoJo did all that in 2010, and sadly due to injuries hasn't been able to recreate such performances.

I'm not belittling Jojo's accomplishments, I said I would take him when he's on top form for Christ sakes! And hate it or not Gio's numbers are good even though this forum would have you believe he hasn't scored a goal this season
Doesn't guarantee that any player would bring the current form with them. Look at players like Benzema & Pirlo who went through rough patches, they've turned their fortunes around. Signing any player is a risk, some are just more calculated risks like JoJo, Sanchez & Suarez.

Sanchez is a risk (being worse than Torres this year and being a space lover), Jovetic is a risk (being injury prone and inconsistent)... Suarez and Cavani are guaranteed hits. Suarez>Cavani>Jojo>Sanchez. I'd sacrifice both Mirko and Gio if it meant Suarez.

So would I be so readily attracted to making a 30m gamble ? After Amauri know. Potential is just potential, no guarantees. At least with Gio the potential loss isn't as great. We could also get a JoJo like the Robben Chelsea had who barerly played a game. Would that be worth it then?

The first was a baby girl named Giovina, and the second was a wonderful lump called Vincenzo.

Giovina is 2 years old now, and Vincenzo is barely 9 months :p
Not forgetting little 8 month old Mason ;)

But if we were to wait and throw all our eggs in one basket and go for Cavani & Suarez for example, it'll be the whole Aguero "smile" all over summer again. Obviously Cavani being an obvious no goer with Napoli. Thats why I think with Sanchez at that price is something Marotta would like to get his hands sticky for.

How is JoJo a big gamble besides his recent injury crisis? He's a proven player in one of the toughest leagues in europe & he's shown his worth in europe. Obviously our medical team would do a thorough job of checking JoJo considering the massive screw made by Secco with Andrade.

As for Robben, please the guy gave some sterling displays for Chelsea & they cashed in on him. Bad example, try again.:D

I agree alot about Sanchez. Great at a counterattacking team, and very bad at a pressing offensive team, despite having much more space. Big risk

Jovetic, not sure. Needs close medical attention, but this season just missed 5 games out of 25. playing 20 is quite good tbh. more then any of our strikers

Cavani is an impossible story, we should stop mentionning him.

Suarez is indeed the best of that list, but looks like he'll be to expensive aswel.

Also, selling all the SS to get a new one, is very bad, as you are without any dept and he'll take much longer to settle

baby steps !
the first one is selling giovinco

Since reaching his potential is not an option anymore now it's maturity time for him.

And when the maturity time will be gone, the experience time will come.

You just can't loose going with Gio.

Giovinco won't get any better than he is right now. The most he can do is to keep this same level for 2 more seasons. He'll be losing speed and he certainly won't become bigger and stronger. Experience won't help him at all, because it's his quick feet combined with his technique that make him the player that he is. Losing the speed will mark the end of his career. With that body of his, he'll be helpless after the speed is gone.

Mark my words, then, Giovinco will be at his best in a one/two years time.

He'll improve, I've no doubts about that, because the only thing he is lacking right now to become an important player for a team like Juve comes with experience and that is his decision making (mainly in front of goal, but not only).
