Giovinco has played well for the last (and only) 2 games of the season but I still cant see him as a wc player.
He is lacking something.
However I must admit there are not many other forwards who can assist as much as him.

As for the DP comparison - He will never be DP or anything close but a Giovinco is not that bad eigther.
The only one I can see as a true heir to DP is Jovetic even if he yet to show his worth at a big club.
