He just needs time to get into the chemistry of the team. I think he is trying too hard to make an "instant impact" rather than just contributing with what he knows how to do.

Needs to step it up.

for those hating on Gio and saying he had a crap game, i wana see what you guys would do out there

He is by far something we had none of last season, which is an attacker that can take on his man and seemed to gain an understanding with the rest as the game wore on

People bashgin him after one game, against a team that was set up to defend with everyone behind the ball and frustrate us

Im sure Conte would tell all of you to shut the f(*^ up!!!

He's not playing well, but he's showing more potential than I expected.

He's stronger than before, very quick, can dribble, shoots with both feet.. gotta improve his decision making. But he doesn't look stupid, only uncomfortable. Once he feels more comfortable on the pitch, and mentally stronger, feeling safer, he will be a very good player for this team.

Gio is going to be a very important player for us.
He needs some time to adapt, but he already is shwoing his potential.
Remeber Giaccherini last season, when he was quite horrible at the very first games, but his ambition and determination, helped him to persevere and endure the initial shock of being a part of such a high class mechanism.
It really needs time for both him and the other elements of our team, in order to learn exactly how Giovinco works, what are his strengths and his inabilities.

He does has vision, penetration, speed, dribble and a swift but accurate pass, in variable distances.
He can deliver where Giacche and Pepe cant go and his workrate is not worse than them, so it is an upgrade to them, regardeless of what you see it, excepting the very high exceptions, some of us had for him.

If he is shown trust and gets enough playing time, he will deliver close to his real potential soon enough.
To optimise his performance, build the right chemistry and boost his confidence, the only thing he needs is to be trusted with the playing time Giaccherini had at his disposal.

An injury at this moment would have catastrophic consequences, i m glad that he is fully fit!

You could have just said that Marotta did good bringing him back, instead of the unnecessary speech.

Too many dribbling Italian SSs!
at least this one really promising though! beats stacking too many mediocre Italian SS...

It was Conte's choice, not Marotta's, Marotta first tried to sell him off and then made us lose millions to get our player back!

He definetly can do more than this , i also thought that he didn't deserve the yellow , there was a little contact and the way he moved his legs was a bit diving like , but he got up imediatly and didn't even ask for anything from the ref .

We got 4 mil for him , got him back for 11 , all in all we spent 7 mil to finally understand his potential and get a finished product . I don't see that much wrong in that , if he had stayed with del neri he wouldn't have played , this way he finally learned his position (ss) , got confidence about his abilites , got a lot of playing time and showed everything he can do last season with his famous 15g11a :D

Are you saying that paying 11mil for 50% of the player we owned is good business and MArotta should be applauded for it??
A player we estimated for 7-8mil comes back with a 22price tag?
There is smth wrong with that, we either underrated his price when gifted his half or overrated his price when got it back.
Or most probably both.
Only a really bad trader sell at a loss and overpays, ALWAYS in each and every acquisition he makes and Marotta does that all the time.
And you are saying that he has to be admired for that??

Maybe, if the player wasnt ours to begin with, it would be acceptable, but that business was ownage of the highest degree!
We had the player, we could dictate our terms, it is unaccpetable to get owned like that!
That was double ownage, if he couldnt get a better ammount for him at the worst possible moment to sell him, he should at least enter a get back clause of a fixed price and not pay them whatever ammount they ask!

we have neither underselled or overpaid . We valued him at 7-8 mil because that was his value at the time , what had he done to deserve more than that ? After that he had a good season and a very good season with parma which normally sent his value way up , there is nothing wrong with this deal
