I'm all for him coming back, as long as he doesn't get the number 10 jersey, and accepts that he won't and shouldn't be starting every game. He can be used in rotation, but I definitely don't want him as the first choice for either the RWF or LWF position; he shouldn't be regarded as that either.

However, if Barca were to come knocking, and I highly doubt they will, then Gio to Barca + 10-12 Million for Sanchez would be an amazing/awesome deal.

Pirlo has only been with us for a season; I definitely wouldn't be in favor of giving him the number 10. Jovetic, if he indeed does join, should get the jersey. It's a huge responsibility, but I'm sure he can shoulder it. Suarez should get 7 or 9 if he comes.

I said closest, I didn't necessarily say they should get it. I don't think Jovetic should get it anyway. Or at least prove himself first in one season then change number to 10.

Perhaps you are right. If he proves himself/comes good in his first season, he should then inherit the legendary/mythical number 10 jersey (provided we actually acquire him).

Yeah, Jovetič deserving Nr10 is as much a :wth: as Giovinco getting it, the number shouldn't be used next season unless we bring in a really high profile player, who isn't a PR disaster (yeah, I mean you Balotelli and Tevez). Wouldn't mind him as our starting LW, Gio's got enough quality, I'm more worried about RW.

I actually think Giovinco could be very useful as a bargaining chip. We can pay Parma 7-8 Million Euros for his other half, then send him off to Fiorentina, Napoli, or even Barcelona + Cash of course, for one of JoJo, Cavani/Lavezzi, or Sancehz. Remote possibility of that happening, but it's not entirely impossible.
