They don't play the same role, you should compare Giovinco with Messi as the Barcelona ball hog :D
But then again, Iniesta plays for Barcelona in the goal crazy La Liga for a team that scored almost 100 goals last season. Iniesta MUST suck, you think Marotta can sign him for loan + option to buy? Or should we just go with the statistically equally great, Giaccherini?

You're being silly now, but if you look at Messi's stats you see he has insane goals and assists so he carries a lot of the attacking load. Being serious, I'd expect Giovinco in his important role to be at least 8-8, he is capable of double figures in both. Maybe this season.

I was just trying to prove how stats are not everything. Iniesta is an amazing offensive player but without seeing him play and just looking at this stats you'd think he's average which he's not. Assists just count when the teammate scores a goal and don't tell the whole story. I've seen Giovinco play a lot this season and he has been great. Trying to discredit him or comparing him to a player like Giaccherini because of similar stats is not fair.

I know stats aren't everything but they do tell one story, and in terms of an attacking player these two stats are very important. I also know you could talk about Giovinco all day so I'm going to leave this thread :D
