First of all I would hate to see Gio leave, I fell for the littel guy. and all the arguments if he should play or not are void IMO cause none of us seen him play regularly, but the talent is there.

But aside from that, Being a Business Major I couldn't stop thinking that letting Him go is a huge mistake from a Business prespective.
I think he has a huge markting potential, and god knows we need all the marketing appeal we can get if we want to be anywhere near as influantal as we were pre-2006.
The kid already done spots for nike and Gillet ( oh the sweet irony..), and that all "size isnt everything" has a modern fairytale appeal to it.

With enough playing time even on the expence of short term team performance (and even that is highly debatable) we will have a new face for the team that can actually sells shirts and bring new young fans, Its not like someone is going to remmeber Martinez or Lanzafame two years down the road.

Letting him go now for penuts and seeing him on Nike ads two years from now with some Arsenal Kit would make me feel sick.

I can't wait to see Seba playing amazing for his new club and embarrasing the hell out of Marotta.
Same here. :agree:
well, Seba is a totally ill-fated guy, I don't like seeing him leave the club. but if we think more logical, he HAS to leave. His fantastic potential is wasting here. I think we should let him go on loan to Bari or whatever. He definitely needs the oppotunity of playing. Then Marrota and Del Neri will realize what a big mistake they've taken by lettin' him go. But there'll be still a chance to have him back in the squad.

btw,I've crossed my fingers for Gio no matter where he'll play. :xfinger:

I can't wait to see Seba playing amazing for his new club and embarrasing the hell out of Marotta.
:lol2:

When Bari finish above Juventus then Marotta can be embarrased.

Well i've seen him play regularly with Empoli and he was amazing. Infact i remember the commentator saying that the average attendance for Empoli's games went up ever since this little guy kept playing regularly. The fans there wanted to watch more and more of him, thats got to say something....

Giovinco needs to play

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sebastian Giovinco’s agent has told Juventus that his client needs to play regular football next season – either in Turin or elsewhere.

“Juventus need to either invest in his abilities or it is only right that he goes to play for a Coach who uses him in a way that suits his characteristics,” Andrea D’Amico noted.

“He can either go somewhere on loan and then return to Juve at a later stage or we could find an admirer who is ready to totally invest in him.”

Giovinco’s future with the Old Lady is unclear after failing to break into the first team plans of various bosses – Claudio Ranieri, Ciro Ferrara and Alberto Zaccheroni.

“He is a great talent who needs to play football,” continued the 23-year-old’s representative. “Every time that he has been given a chance he has responded well.

“I remember his fantastic performances against Bologna and Catania.

“He needs continuity which he hasn’t been offered for the last two years. I think this is fundamental for a youngster and the arrival of Diego closed the door for Giovinco.”

Bari have been heavily associated with the former Under-21 Italian international after boss Giampiero Ventura spoke very highly of him recently.

“We know of Bari’s interest and it is no mystery,” added D’Amico. “But he has also been asked for in England.”
We're the only team that doesn't see his ability

Amauri is on the verge of exit door :snoop:
:weee: Then lets get rid of him and keep Gio instead.

There'll be still a problem, if Atomic Ant insists on playing regularly every week, he'd better leave. We just want 2 men up front, not more. If we sign Dzeko, a Dzeko-Iaqui or Dzeko-DP would be nice. There's no place for Seba...
But sth inside of me says that he won't leave if he'll be one of 5 strikers. He's experienced much more difficult situations here, but he didn't complain in most cases.
I'd rather sell him on loan afterall, and have him back after some brilliant performance.

Giovinco played wide left today in training by the way.
I think that's his real position in the squad. Playing him as a striker makes no sense while he's no good in air balls, and destroyin' opponent's defence by some confusing dribbling. If Del Neri uses him at Neddy' position, that'd be quite nice. His dazzling forward runs, and his pace of course, will help the team IMO.
