Difference was with Samp his defence was weak. Depending on who we sign at the back I think we'll see Del Neri being a bit more adventurous with the wingers.

He never did that, but he would keep the fullbacks very narrow to help the CBs and expected the wingers to go back and cover the area the fullbacks would normally have to cover.
EDIT: I know they said he will be injured till the season ends, but that doesn’t mean that he will be suddenly fit after the last game of the season.
