His agent has just confirmed Viola's interest.

He said that Giovinco clearly wants more playing time (next season). He said that we're changing a lot (with the coach and everything now) so they'll talk after and see their program and how it fits Seba's future.

In other words, if we don't plan to use him more he's going most likely.
Non ho avuto contatti con la Fiorentina a riguardo

I think he denies Fiorentina’s rumor.

Each and every season I see wows and wonders with lots of exclamation marks about Fiorentina's squad. With all our misery this season, where are the purple cunts again?
its all the fault of their board, because surely the great prandelli nor the great squad can be at fault

I got the feeling we'll see some kind og Vargas swap then. But who knwos maybe the fat one has a role for Giovinco, otherwise I am keen on selling. He does not deserve another year on the bench.

It's not just the squad they have.

Don't forget their wonderful young, Italian manager.

Sure, some people give them too much credit when it comes to the mercato, but you have to agree, they have done pretty well for a team that was bankrupt and in Serie D just 8 years ago. They are a solid mid table club with a CL qualification chance. Which, it seems, we are as well, at the moment.

if Gio doesn't get his chance under Rafa then you have to seriously start wondering what the hell is wrong with the kid
must be something we don't see because all these managers can't all be wrong
can they?

shut up ... how dare you to even think about the possibilit that professional coaches could possibly rate a player more objective than the fans !
You don't see anything strange about him never given the chance? Sure, I would totally understand it if they benched him after he embarrassed himself out on the field but honestly, they guy barely gets the chance to play and when he does he always has a positive impact on our team. They are benching him as if he was a div 2 player. And yet at the same time they are giving players like Sissoko, Amauri, Grosso, Grygera and Zebina the chance to fuck up every week without them being benched like Seba.

If they give Giovinco the chance to play regularly and he shows that he's not good enough then fine, I would shut up. But until that happens, I still think they are a bunch of cowards for not giving a young and creative player a real shot at proving himself.

i was being sarcastic ...

giovinco was not played by the first coach that empoli had either( when he joined them) ... so there is something to it that we dont know for sure.

on top of that:
its easier to bench someone that does not voice his opinion, than bench some melo who already earns much money . . . simple as that

Benched for Empoli? I'm not so sure about that. He got to play 37 games for a defensive, bottom team when he was 20 years old.

If this was any other league, gio would be gunning fullbacks for fun. It is sad that he is 2 foot 1 and therefore cannot be trusted. It's a good job Messi is 2 foot 2, much the bigger man, we can trust him!

Any football fan wants a young whipet to come through the ranks. The board should see the potential for a club idol and give the kid a chance. Heck who knows, if he had played as many games as Claudio, he may even be going to the world cup.
