If Ciro goes back to the 4-3-1-2 then this shit is beyond Giovinco and just the old Italian football mentality.

Gio is too good and should be given the chance to grow and become a key figure for us.

We should continue playing 4-2-3-1 but the question is when Del Piero returns what are we going to play because playing as a lone striker is not his best poistion

Will this be the beginning of more playing time for Gio and a new and reborn winning and scoring Juve? Can't wait for what Ciro has to say about his performance today! IMO he was MoM today!

I didn't get to see the match, but from what I've been reading, he had a very good performance.

But we might want to temper our enthusiasm for a moment and realize the competition he was playing against.

If he can do this on Sunday, and going forward against better teams, then hey, they finally found a place for him.

I think that if they continue to use 5 midfielders for the forseeable future, they will need to either acquire another decent sub, or just bring back Almiron in january for extra depth.

He performed good because he played next to two other creative midfielders, so we were not depended only on him in creating attacks, and he had the quality players around to exchange passes. But if you put him in front of the three defensive midfielders, then he needs miracles to do everything on his own.

I never doubted his talent.

I just didn't know, or think, that there was a place for him.
Whenever he has played on the flank he's been amazing. It's when they place him as a trequartista in the middle between big CB's and defensive midfielders where it gets hard for him. On the flank last season he was second in assists overall in the team. The guy is class, he has the stats and the performances to prove it.

It was a joy to watch Giovinco and Diego combining in the 4-2-3-1 today. Please Ciro, show some balls and try this formation in Serie A!
