Well, Ranieri is a professional too. That doesn't mean that he didn't make mistakes when he was with us.
no, but that means he has learned something professional and did less mistakes than any of us (forum experts) had done doing this job.

Unless there's some other reason for him being largely ignored by two consecutive managers.
make it 4 coaches ... the two coaches he had in empoli did not let him play much either ... the first empoli coach did not let him play much and the second did play him more regularily but he never had a first team place cemented (even in empoli).

What is this with the proffesionals now?
So the Board knows better, the coach knows better, the trainers know better, the olimpico toilet cleaners know better cause they're all proffesionals.
So we can not criticise anyone when we don't like something they do...

yes and all this professionals didn't win any shit.. Ranieri didn't win any shit and he won't, Ciro didn't win till now and am afraid he won't any time soon so i don't give a fuck about this professional thing.. it's like machinists who work with some kind of machine then u give them a new one.. some will try to learn how to use the new one and that's how you can be a great machinist and the others will stick to the old one and won't try to learn anything.. in the end they are all professionals but there is an ambitious professional and there is and old school old fart who don't like to improve him self.. this is the same when we talk about Giovinco as he is the new Machine.

Dude, those stats are shows he got to play a lot. Don't forget he played for a defensive Empoli and he was only 20 years old at the time. He got a lot of minutes there.

So, now it's an issue of whether or not his coaches have won major titles? No, it remains a question of qualification. Ranieri, for all his perceived faults, is a man who has been paid hundreds of thousands of euros by some of the largest clubs in the world to do a particular job - train a team. Why? I don't know, maybe he must have some idea of what he's doing? If not, these companies should be saving their money and hiring someone who can spam "Fuck Secco" or "OMG idiot, play Giovinco" in match threads here and save themselves the wages. Good idea?

Meanwhile, Ferrara must be clueless too? A man who won everything as a player and is widely regarded as being exceptionally intelligent in footballing terms. I guess all his experience and day-to-day knowledge is out the window when confronted with the superior brainpower of forumers whose basis for protest is maybe, at best, 15-20 mins of video footage a week (and that's being especially generous)? Or wait, perhaps his PA rating on the FM series? No, that can't be it, maybe his attributes in Pro Ev or Fifa?

Take careful note, not only is he not getting time at Juve, but also at Empoli (Empoli, for God's sake) could he not assert himself into the starting eleven with consistency. Must be a conspiracy, I'm sure.

Either way you look at it, this arrogance and condescension of so many posters here is absolutely laughable and there isn't any upside to it. It fails even in entertainment value. To be honest, all it does is make this place not a worthwhile forum for reading.

Those stats show that he got more time and more responsabilites maybe by the time. So maybe if he would have stayed maybe he would have been a started after that season?

I don't know, for me Gio is a confidence player, the more he will play the better he will perform. Although it is obvious that he isn't our lone saviour, but he certainly can help the team more if given more chances.

Funny thing is that Giovinco was blamed like hell after his two average matches this season and now Diego does the same but everyone finds excuses for him:rolleyes:

Because Diego on his worst night manages to defend, attack and make threat while Giovinco would just run and wait till someone kicks him so he can have his dear foul.
Dont get me wrong though, im dying to see him on the feild now more than ever..his partnership with Diego will be lethal.

Sorry but those stats means nothing, i've watched every single game for Empoli that year (missed their game against napoli only). And Gio was a KEY player in malesani's team. Gio was by faar, the best player in that team.

Stats could be misleading sometimes....

no they don't;)
i did not say that giovinco wasn't their best player.... i was trying to make a point in that many coaches seem to have had their reasons to deny him a regular starting spot ... no matter how great he played when he was on.

I say we ban anybody who actually defends Ranieri or acts like he is some "expert."

What is he an expert of, building teams? No, as we've seen here.

What has we won? Nothing, as we've seen everywhere.

Anybody that thinks he's some "expert" in something is a jackass.

Man Gio was Melaseni's best player, do you think he will bench he's best player ?!

He played in every single game under malesani's management. I've seen all the games with my own eyes its not like i've heard it from someone else ....
