I don't like these formations, and I don't think they will work either. We need to play to the strengths of our team, and these formations don't deploy Diego, Del Piero, or Gio in their natural/best positions.

I think Gio will be happy to get more regular playing time next season, and I really do see that happening in a rotation with Diego, and Del Piero. Del Piero can't start all our games, and neither should Diego. I see Gio coming on as a Sub in important games, and starting the less significant ones. We will be playing 3 games a week in some months, and I certainly see Giovinco getting his chance between Serie A, the Coppa, and the Champions League.

If we retain Trezeguet, we will have a strike force of Trezeguet, Amauri, Del Piero, Iaquinta, and Giovinco. However, since Giovinco is more versatile than all the aforementioned guys, I believe he can fill in for both Diego and Del Piero, whether it be in a 4-3-1-2, 4-2-3-1 (where he can be a starter), or 4-3-2-1 (where he can also be a starter).

Gio, Camo, Diego, Del Piero, Amauri, Iaquinta, and Trezeguet. What a wealth of attacking talent we have at our disposal, and with the possibility of more players arriving, not to mention our youngsters as well, next season promises to be an exciting one :D

Ilaquita
Giovinco Diego
Marcisio Zanetti Sissoko
LB CB CB RB
GK

I think that is the best formation to accomodate both Giovinco and Diego... but due to the narrowness of the formation it helps to have high stamina overlapping
fullbacks on both flanks... to have balanced central midfielders like seedorf and essien would make it more perfect also

No Trez, Amauri or Del Piero... and he claims it to be the best formation IHO... weird..
i rate Trez very highly but his place in next season's team still grey so i leave him out for a while..

Amauri still has not won me over... just a better-looking-less-humble Zalayeta. .... Ilaquita on the other hand did so he deserve the starting place next season.

the formation is good except for Zanetti. I think Sissoko shud play in the centre and somebody like asamoah/hamsik as the third midfielder. I don think the new cOACH IS GONNA MAKE DP or Amauri as a sub and DP got enough fire in him atleast for one more season.

You think Iaquinta is better than Amauri?

You've got to be kidding me.

Giovinco: "Ranieri didn't like me"
Saturday 30 May, 2009

Sebastian Giovinco blames Claudio Ranieri for ruining his season at Juventus. “Evidently the Coach didn’t like me.”
The Atomic Ant is a fan favourite and considered one of the best young talents in Italian football, but was rarely used in this campaign.

“What could I do if I played only once a month? Evidently the Coach didn’t like me and he did not give me the opportunity to do well,” said the youngster.

Ciro Ferrara is the caretaker manager, but Antonio Conte and even Bordeaux boss Laurent Blanc are options to take over next term.

“I am not a director, so these decisions are down to the club. I just have to concentrate on playing my football on the pitch.”

He hopes to earn his place in the Italy squad for the 2010 World Cup, as now that Ranieri has been sacked he should get more space.

“Of course I’d like to be in the Nazionale, but if you don’t play at club level then you can’t get to the Azzurri.

“I want to remain at Juve to prove my worth. I know I need to earn more space in the side and this is what I will try to do. I want to give it another go with Juve.”

The Trequartista welcomes new £25m signing Diego from Werder Bremen and hopes this can mean a change in system from the 4-4-2.

“Diego is a great buy, one of the best players in Europe and the world. With his arrival something has to change in terms of tactics.

“Personally I have no problems seeing as Diego is an advanced central midfielder and not accustomed to playing wide.”

Giovinco was speaking at the presentation of a new book titled ‘The Beautiful Fairytale of the Atomic Ant.’

There you have it. The suspicions confirmed once again.

Thank God that terrorist has been eliminated.

Forza Giovinco.

Yes . i actually think Ilaquinta perform much better than Amauri this season. He played less number of games yet score about the same number of goals and assist.

He needs to fight to get games and he succeeded. He won over and should be rewarded. Amauri on the other hands seem to take his places for granted in some games.

that cristmas tree tactic actually design to support quarterback central playmaker ala pirlo or xavi in the centre flanked by industrios hard tancling central wide midfielders (essien, gattuso, seedorf)

my personal favavourite player for that central position is xavi alonso
