He should bench Nedved already.
:agree: comparing nedved's performance last season with gio's I'd say Gio did much bitter....I think that nedved will play a smaller role compared to gio's role next season, nedved most likely gonna play just against the top teams in the league and in the CL while gio will play the majority of the league games and perhaps some champions league games too........

i think that Gio maybe can play better as a second striker next to Trez or Amauri. Many people say that he has DPs style so he should be used in our attack.Ranieri doesnt use an AMC so he is able to play as SS.I dont like him as a LM either...

He dictates play and creates all the time, hardly ever shoots but almost allways passes. Believe me, despite some similarity, he is not DP style.

Ale who though is creative, is about dribbling his last man and finishing, alternatively passing at times. Not really a playmaker perse even if can create, which Gio is all about, and is strictly a treaquartista who lets others finish the attacks almost allways instead of himself. Should defenitely play behind 2 forwards IMO.

Sebastian Giovinco back at Juventus

A busy end of June at Juventus in transfer market terms: another three deals were completed today, all concerning young talents raised in the Club's youth sector - Giovinco, Lanzafame and Mirante.

The most important item of news, the one all the Bianconeri fans wanted to hear, is that Sebastian Giovinco is again 100% a Juventus player. Indeed the Club exercised the option they had to buy back the whole ownership of the player, and Empoli were therefore unable to exercise their rights to buy the young talent in full. Thus Giovinco will be at Manager Ranieri's disposal for the 2008/09 season.

Juventus did the same with Bari for Davide Lanzafame. They exercised their option, so the Puglia club couldn't get full ownership of the striker. Therefore Lanzafame, one of the best players in Serie B last year, comes back to Juventus.

And finally, Antonio Mirante; Sampdoria exercised their option rights on the Campania-born goalkeeper, who will stay at the Club another year, Sampdoria having full ownership with a participation agreement.

Lanzafame is a long shot to be used, even as bench warmer...with the strikers we got for this coming season I really think training with the first team is the most he can expect.

As for Gio, I think he does suit the left mid/wing role best...he does not play like Del Piero at ll IMO, and is indeed more of the creative midfielder who can burst in the box when he needs to.
