If things stay the same and Giovinco returns then our wingers will be Krasic, Pepe, Elia, Giovinco, Esti and Giac.

I don't know but if we return to the CL I wouldn't mind signing a Champion/game changer for the wing as most of our play depends on the position and our current players are very underwhelming especially as we don't know how Elia is gonna turn out.

What a waste for Giac... we should of gotten Giovinco in the first place. Marotta was foolish to give him away for so cheap only 3.5m, thank god for the 50% ownership... Hopefully this summer we can get him back, as Conte wants him and Giovinco knows that, and now Prandelli claiming that he should go back. Giach is not good enough, and we own 50% of him... paying 3m now, and a total of 6m if we decided to get him for 100%.

SEBA! COME BACK TO JUVENTUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Giovinco: 'Juve return not down to me'

Sebastian Giovinco has declared he is determined to make the most of his opportunity with Italy, whilst intimating he is unlikely to return to Juventus.

Cesare Prandelli confirmed on Monday that the playmaker will play against Northern Ireland in Italy's final Euro 2012 Group C qualifying match and Giovinco took the time to reflect once again on his spell at Juventus.

“There is one thing that hurt me in my career - not being able to show how well I could do at Juve. In Turin I did not received many beautiful words.”

Prandelli confirmed the player will start in attack alongside Antonio Cassano on Tuesday night in a second striker role.

“I've played all the roles and adapted but now this is mine - and my reward is goals. I do not think about vindication but to have fun, with the goals - I have five from five, my goal is to reach double figures.”

Giovinco was then asked about a possible return to Juve. Prandelli suggested in an earlier Press conference that it would be to his benefit to mature as a player.

“I do not know, it does not depend on me. In the summer there was talk of Juve redeeming me. I never believed that, I knew I would be staying in Parma. Closed argument? Nothing stays closed, but we need more clarity.

“I'm always sorry to hear that I was too young to play at high levels. But given I am here it means that it did not have an influence. It is a long-awaited moment that I will not let slip.”

[TD][FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]Cesare Prandelli has dismissed Sebastian Giovinco's height as a barrier to his progression, whilst suggesting he could benefit from a return to Juventus.

The Italy Coach was speaking at Monday evening's news conference where he confirmed the probable starting XI to face Northern Ireland on Tuesday evening.

In the team's final Group C qualifying match for the 2012 European Championships, Prandelli confirmed 5ft4 Giovinco will start in attack with Antonio Cassano and dismissed concerns that his stature will stunt his career aspirations.

The former Fiorentina boss also suggested a return to Juventus, who hold 50 per cent of the Parma player's registration, would benefit the attacker.

“For me, his height has never been a problem. If a player arrives with those physical characteristics in Seire A, it is with a determination that they can climb mountains.

“If he were to return to Juventus, he would mature as a player.

“He started the season very well and is growing well from many points of view, he is working as a complete striker.

“It is fair not only to reward him but also to figure out where we can improve in terms of attackers. His problems so far have been caused by a lack of a defined role. Now that we know he is a second striker, we can exploit this.”

Prandelli was less confident of confirming Pablo Daniel Osvaldo's involvement from the bench for his first cap.

“Let's see, we are evaluating everything. Whoever is on the bench must be mentally ready to play.”

The game against Northern Ireland is being hosted at the Stadio Adriatico, home to Zdenek Zeman's Pescara team. Prandelli closed his news conference in acknowledgement of his colleague.

“I think highly of him. If you decide to go and see a game where you buy the ticket, I would go to see a team coached by Zeman.”

Prandelli confirmed the players likely to start the game against Nigel Worthington's team.

Probably Italy starting line-up: Buffon; Cassani, Barzagli, Chiellini, Balzaretti; Montolivo, De Rossi, Pirlo; Aquilani; Cassano, Giovinco

I appreciate some sense coming back to the judgement of this boy, just like it already happened with Marchisio.

Yes... and Marotta.
Agreed, Marotta was the fool for letting him go for so cheap... It's funny how we needed to let go of Amauri... so instead of transfering him, we just loan him to Parma without a buyout clause, but with Giovinco when we needed him... they loan him out with a 50% buyout clause only for 3.5m. Very idiotic if you ask me.
