Giovinco has something the rest of our offensive players lack, badly, which is pace. The only other players who can dribble past opponents are Diego and DP, one of whom remains miles of match sharpness and likely not to fit into our current formations.

If we are going to sell him, then it should be to a foreign club, and for much more than Ledesma is worth. But I would rather we didnt sell him. Its fair enough to say he hasn't exploded this season as much as any of us would have liked, but look a the team as a whole...its failed. And Giovinco's role in the team is 100% dependent on others. He is not a natural finisher. He is a dribbler, and a producer. Which means the receiving off the ball and runs of the players around him when he has the ball are insanely important to how well he does on the field...

Its simple really. If we have a plan to persevere with an attacking trident, we need Gio. If we want someone who can play in Diego's position if he gets injured or suspended, we need Gio...

I don't think he has been given enough of a chance, to find continuity and form. Hopefully, if a new manager comes in, this will change, or equally welcome, would be Ciro give the youngster a decent run in the side.

It can't be mere coincidence that 3 coaches has ignored Gio so far, Cagni, Ranieri and Ferrara. If theres a new coach coming somewhere in the season and Gio continues to be ignored i believe the summer is where he will be sold.

casiraghi + Malesani both played Gio and he impressed with them. So this whole idea that managers don't like him is just a myth....

If Giovinco isn't seeing time in our team's current state then when the hell will he see time? We might as well sell him if we don't want him. I don't understand this team.
