Giovinco had some great touches when i was watching the bits and parts of the game i dont know how he did overall and he did play a part leading to the goal

Montolivo's goal was something...

another thing is that the goal from saudati is from the bravery of Gio who dares to bump off( a bit extrag. but really a physical against) a fio player

apart from the result, i could give 6.5 to him
but really considering the overal result, 6 is a fair rate
he did something better than empoli the whole team:D

It certainly was...without doubt the best of the 3! The best team won, too. Empoli were nowhere, so damn negative. Giovinco & Marchisio came on when La Viola were 1-0 ahead, for the last half hour, & if they didn't do much it's because their team wasn't doing much. With the best of intentions, Juve sent those boys to Empoli to learn & gain 1'st team experience & though you can't judge a team by one game, unless things change, Giovinco & Marchisio are goin to learn how to be on the losing side more than anything else...

that's simply not true , Empoli is going to typically finish somewhere between the 8th and 12th place . which means they are going to win many games , giovinco is definetely start many of these games . Something he wouldn't have done in Juventus . Not only will he gain experience , he would also gain confidence too .

If marchisio and giovinco did stay with Juve they wouldn't have played more than 100 minutes all together . For young players that need to develop that's not good at all .

Still, I was expecting more than a starting place in half of Empoli games for Gio.

maicon kneed him in the back :(
If the venue wasnt soccer pitch, I bet Maicon would have been rested on the spot for child abuse.:D When Giovinco was lying down the floor, you feel like he is being really hurt because he is so sleight. I hope referee feels the same, and once he gets their respect, I can see him getting a lot of calls. That will be the key, because then defenders werent be so tight to him, and try to abuse physical. For the good of the game, I hope the men in whistle starts to protect him a bit.

As for his contribution, he showed his attributes that he can play. But he still hasnt yet shown me that moment of magic, which separates greats from the good. I sure hope once he gets some match under his belt, he feels more confident and show his true quality.

CSKA seek Sebastian

Juventus-owned youngster Sebastian Giovinco is becoming hot property with Russian giants CSKA Moscow allegedly preparing a £10m bid.

Gifted midfielder Giovinco has represented Italy since the age of 15 and was has been a key figure in the Azzurrini side in recent games.

Having been an infrequent substitute in Juve’s Cadetti triumph last term, the Old Lady have opted to loan Giovinco to Empoli for the current campaign and he has already caught the eye.

After an impressive performance for the Under-21’s 2-1 victory over the Faroe Islands last Friday, rumours emerged that Russian champions CSKA Moscow are ready to make a huge bid for the talented starlet.

Barcelona have also been linked with a move for the Bianconeri’s homegrown ace, but it is widely believed that any offer will be rejected as Giovinco is seen as a foundation block in the club’s future.
