I said it two weeks ago. I suppose I have to say it again.

Giovinco does not match Ranieri's tactical setup, it's that simple. He can't play instead of Nedved or Camo, or even Sali for that matter. Camo can manage his defensive duties well and so can Nedved but Giovinco is a purely attacking player.

He has a better chance to play as a support striker than play at the wings. I think that's how Ranieri will use him if anything, he will pur him behind Amauri or IQ.
We'll wait and see what Ranieri decides to do, but don't expect to see too many Giovinco games this season unless that 'Tinkerman" begins to tinker already.

i think he has to show his potential now.... its now or never... sometimes as a footballer u have to show ur best football at one point and it's defenatly now for gio... trez is out injured dp neddy and camo will all be out for the weekend.. if he can show his skills now i'm sure we r going to see alot more of him but i'm afraid that if he fails he will end up like tiago.... ok not like tiago but his chances to get first team football will disappear

In this case why don't he want to use him as a second forward this may work

It's not that he doesn't want to use him, it's that Del piero was playing in that position and he would have to put him in place of Alex. Since Ale is out anyway for this game, he should try him out as a second forward.

Ranieri however, is too scared to try anything new. He just goes for the basic 4-4-2. He's not entirely wrong because it does fit well into this team, it's just thatplaying it over and over again makes Juve's attacking play very predictable.

Camo and neddy have been given complete freedom to roam anywhere they want. Gio will get the same role if he is played in the midfield or there is always the option of playing him in a alex type role where he drops into the midfield to receive the ball.

I think the tactical set up suits most our players in the roster and Gio certainly can adapt into it, its no big deal. The kid has too much talent to be that inflexible imo. Also if he wants to make it in the modern game he will have to get back and help the team defending. FFS even players like c.ronaldo, DP and trezi help out their team several times every game.
