I think there was something wrong. I noticed that on one except De Ceglie passed the ball to Gio in the match against Belgium. He seemed very much alone in the Azzurra team. What happened? I'm very much worried. :(
The problem IMO is that we like him so much "juve fans" that many thinks that he's absalutely perfect. Gio is very talented thats for sure, but he has some weaknesses to he's game that he most work on.

He's pretty inconsistent (am not basing this on he's performance in the olympics but rather on he's games with empoli last season too). And i think that he doesn't get involve alot in games. Plus he's physically pretty weak.

With the right training and guidance and i think he'll be much bitter and more consistance in the future......

i totally agree with u .... Giovinco has a super talent but he needs some muscles and be balanced more and involve alot in the game , more aggressive will be needed .... i believe he will reach to our hopes soon ........ but i can say this all the time his style in playin' is so unique and unstoppable u can't get this kind of players any time ......

When will be Giovinco can play for us??
I don't think he can play tonight in Trofeo Berlusconi
I'm very excited to see him play in Juve shirt along with De Ceglie and Marchisio

Giovinco may not impress so much at his beginning in Juventus, so we should be well prepared of this...or we may disappoint a lot
i agree wholeheartedly. Everyone who thinks giovinco will come in and win us the games alone is just a dreamer; I hope he gets along with our playing system, gets some decent balls delivered and makes some good crosses, i think he'll be a good addition to our squad but not yet the real matchwinner. Remember that he'll have to replace nedved in the long-term and doing what neddy does is NOT easy.

BTW has anyone else heard of an injury giovinco got at the olympics? Apparently, in the print-version of tuttosport, in an interview with giovinco, he said that he got a knock and has the same injury as rocchi had, which is a serious injury which could put him out for some time. I know it's tuttosport, but those are things journalists (let's call em journalists) usually don't make up stuff... i'm worried.

You mean todays team? Seriously? Do you think footballers are that super human? :D He played 4 games in a row within a week, under excruciating chinese summer heat. Him joining the team a day later is bit much, hehe.

Would guess he and De Ceglie will get a well needed rest for 8-10 days or so, and be available for the second CL leg.

from the official site:

"In 10 vanno via e in tre invece rientrano alla base. Si tratta di De Ceglie, Giovinco e Marchisio. Finita anzitempo l’avventura della Nazionale Olimpica ai Giochi Olimpici di Pechino, i ragazzi si metteranno finalmente a disposizione di mister Ranieri"

I dont understand italian but i guess they got 10 days of rest.
