If Giovinco didn't take the ball, the defender would've had a bigger chance of blocking Lichtsteiner's shot. The way it played out now, Stephan pretty much had a clear shot on goal.

You're right, and I'm happy it worked out. I was just pointing out that it could and should have been a Matri assist. And honestly, vie lost a bit of faith in Gio but hope he proves me wrong.

Not at all. I genuinely believe it's detrimental to keep on starting a player who can't finish, especially if he's playing beside Vucinic.
