wait wait wait...equal assists, less goals but more productive. I get it now. :santa:

Just as long as one of the two creates "dangerous" chances more often than the other, regardless if anyone scores or not is now how we gauge an SS.

I forgot, it's also never happened that Gioivinco has created anything dangerous either. Either goals and assists or nothing at all...no in between for him...in between only applies to Mirko.

Giovinco's stats this season dont mean shite tbh.Scored and assisted mostly on meaningless occasions when the team already secured victory.

That's absolute BS. I can score 3 goals in 5 minutes against an opponent who are down to 9 men when my team are already 2-0 up. What's your point?

The numbers favor Gio, but padding your statistics sheet by scoring "meaningless" goals or providing "less influential" assists when the game is already a foregone conclusion isn't also a fair reflection of both player's influence or abilities.

You want to measure relative or actual/real contribution? You need to delve further and weigh the importance of the goals and assists by identifying when the goals were scored, when the assists were provided, against whom, and what bearing or outcome they had on the game ;)

I've heard it all now.

A goal only accounts if its a winning goal. An assist only counts if it is an assist for the winning goal.

By default. Games should only be won by 1 goal margins because anything more than that, well quite frankly, the goal just doesn't count. LOL

Some people here acts like Vucinic has been stellar all the year, " he's carrying our forwards, he connects the MF " , Truth is the numbers of games where Vucinic has been mediocre is far superior to the games where he had good performances.

Perhaps so, but Gio hasn't been a "Messiah" either. The supporters of Gio make it seem as if he has been magnificent, whereas he has been horrible in some games, quite alright in others, and impressive in a couple of outings. The bottom line is, neither he nor Vucinic have been consistent enough.

However, when Vucinic is on form, I wouldn't hesitate in picking him ahead of Gio ten times out of ten (if I only had to choose one).

The Vucinic asskissing is way out of control in here.
Frankly, the Gio asskissing is far worse. I used to like the guy, but because of guys like Hustinki who faps to Gio lifting his index finger during a game, I've grown to become annoyed and irritated with the player.

Ok lets take the Chelsea game for example..Gio scored a goal coming off from the bench and an inconsequential one at that..Whilst on the other hand even though Vucinic did not have any goals or assists to his name it was clear as day that his holdup play,movement,linkup/build up play was very influential in consistently providing problems to the Chelsea defense despite him being terrible with his finishing..Sometimes its not important that you only value a forward's contribution of only scoring or assisting, its also about momentum as well and in the game vs Chelsea Vucinic and the likes created early pressure on the opposition with sublime movement and linkup which bamboozled the Chelsea defense thereby providing us the momentum to create chances consistently against them..Now that in my opinion is a meaningful contribution. Not scoring on mid table scrubs when the team is 2-0 ,3-0 up.

That's not what I said Mr. Bra Manager

I'm just saying try looking further and deeper into the stats to truly identify who the more important/key player for us is.
That wasn't for you buddy ol' pal. :)

That was for the other two right before you.

And when is that? No one knows because no body can accurately guess when he will be.

DP scored what 290 goals, Trezeguet 170 goals while at Juve?

I wonder how many of their goals they would be willing to announce as "unimportant". Hey...not every one was a game winning goal.

@Hustini My dear Hustini, I don't hate Gio, and don't think any true Juventus fan should/does. We all "secretly" hope he does well, and performs (especially tomorrow), as in the end it benefits the team. I don't even hate guys like Pepe, Giac, and Padoin, even though they are annoying, limited, and frustrating as hell.

Vucinic is inconsistent and unpredictable; that's the way he has always been. Giovinco, on the other hand, has scored and assisted more, but his overall impact hasn't been that great. The statistics may support it/back it up, but most of his performances don't. As @The Cusp said, some of his goals were inconsequential as they neither influenced nor changed the course of a particular game ;)

Lets look at it like this

Giovinco has been missing each and every chance on goal when we are not winning the game, in result the ultra's whistled him.

However, when we are allready leading the game, he suddenly can score.

NOW, how come we are leading the game ?

Because the goddamn Vucinic creates chances and opportunities for players around him, that result in goals.

VUCINIC : makes a diffrence when the game isnt decided yet
GIOVINCO : scores goals when OTHERS decided the game for him

THAT is why vucinic should allways start, and giovinco should allways be a substitute.

Ok.

We have a new definition of failure. The non-violent or never racist with inappropriate banners hung ultras are now the definition of success or failure. If you get jeered or whistled: sell.
