He has the intelligence to make those timely runs in spaces by overlapping with the wings and/or striker. That's why will remain fundamental for this team until he either gets injured or we adequately address our midfield. It seems he is actually benefitting from the faster play under Sarri because of that reason.

Never doubted his football brain...he has the smarts...but his body is cactus.

Wouldn't be too harsh on bentancur emre can or any other midfielder on bench...these guys are suffering from lack of playing time. Soon enough Khedira will be out long term and someone has to step in.
